Nope, Silva doesnt stand a chance with any top 10 cruiserweight... Personally I dont even think he stands a chance with any half decent journeyman. But Silva isn't as bad now, as he was when he took that pro fight, or how bad he looked sparring at wild card. He competes in a different sport, but he's got a decent grasp on timing and range. For MMA, he's actually quite impressive. But imo, the level of boxing that most mma fighters possess is lower than you'll see at many amateur clubs. Silva could beat the number 50 cruiser tomorrow because he's utter garbage. You're underestimating how great a fighter Silva is. He's been fighting in a sport that's far harder on the body than boxing and wrecking people for years. He's hardended to strikes that boxer's have never experienced. He's Iron from head to toe! The man is a living legend and the idea of him working his way up and beating the number 10 guy at cruiser is not shocking to me at all. You're underestimating how tough and talented this guy is. We've got people talking like the number 50 cruiser in the world would blow on Silva and he'd go to sleep. :nut I know it's a different sport, but Silva is something else and woudl suprised of few of the boxing nuthuggers imo. :good
lol, I can't remember.. I remember dude literally ran out the ring/cage right after the fight, crying, cuz he was so embarrassed.
Yeah Man, MMA fighters are so tough. Their chins are way better than boxer's This content is protected
The guy is tough, talented and a living legend like you have stated above i agree, but that is in MMA not boxing, too different sports. I dont think all the top50 cruisers in the world would KO him or blow him away as you seem to think i said, but to think he would just walk into a new sport and beat a top 10 guy after a few fights is ludicrous, he would need at least 10 - 15 fights to gain enough experience to compete at top20 level. Also getting punched by a world class boxer is far different to getting hit by a decent striker in MMA, i simply cannot invision him taking the shots he did in that sparring clip from guys such as Lebedev, Mormeck, Haye, Enzo Macc etc. All im trying to say is it is two different sports, 3 fights is not near enough time to prepare himself for guys like the above.:good
Is that why far more boxers die from their sport? Is that why theres an entire ****ing nerological disorder named after boxing? There might be more wear and tear on the whole body, maybe. But anybody that tells you mma is a rougher sport than boxing clearly doesnt know ****.
he's not good at boxing the sparring video is laughable the guy he's sparring with is probly a cook at long john silvers
Silva, Velasquez, Dos Santos, Edgar, and Jackson are all badasses when it comes to striking, but just like boxers dont have a clue on ground game, mma guys are too straight forward and predictable. I love watching Frankie Edgar fight he does show me potential in a boxing ring and Silva has potential too, but not vs a top 10 cruiser not to sure. Depends who it is.
