What I could never work out was...'why'...like...it's like smugglin' ice into Antartica...why would you do it....my only guess is that the greedy/foolish *******s just thought they were too clever and thought they could smuggle top notch hydro into the country....****en dickheads!
Whilst in Qld last year, I went past Chappele's former work place.. The sign on the door read.. ... Back in 20.
i remember when she was first found guilty. all these protest groups popped up saying she was innocent. a guy in brisbane organised a rally to support her and her innocence and for her to be released. the funny thing is, none of these people proclaiming her innocence sat through all the court sessions and read every court document (for and against), yet they manage to somehow come up with a conclusion. just after the verdict someone comandeered john howard and asked him if he thought she was innocent or guilty, and he basically replied that it was impossible for anyone to draw conclusions without seeing all the documents and sitting through all the procedings.
This. Also, there was some girl after all this happened, she got caught with Ecstasy (just a couple i think).......she also went out with the son of the GM Motors owner or something. Anways, she was advised to become Muslim. Few days later she was walking free........ Supposedly, if im correct......when becoming Muslim, your old life is forgotten and forgiven ? Any of this seem right, or remember the girl ?
How did this old thread get bumped? Anyhoo, looks like poor Schapelle's lost her marbles over there - I thought it was an act at first but she looks nuttier than a fruitcake these days. Last I heard Gillard was trying to get her transferred over to serve out the rest of her time in an Aussie prison - what happened with that? PS - in regards to Michelle Leslie - she was very lucky to be pardoned - Corby also converted to Islam but it didn't help her case. I think Leslie threatened to spill some dirt on her boyfriend (I thought his father was a diplomat?) so they hushed her up and let her go.
Nah, at the time she was with Scott sutton whose father owned sutton Holden, the largest Holden dealership in nsw. A few people got a pay day and she walked free.
Yeah, he was her boyfriend at the time, but I was just reading the wikipedia article, and it says: "At the time of arrest, Leslie was in the company of Azman and, allegedly, one of the sons of the then Coordinating Minister for the Economy This content is protected and two unidentified men." I remember hearing that back when it happened, and thought it seemed a bit suss that she got off (apparently) so easily, but wiki also says that her Australian doctor testified that she was addicted to prescription medicine and she was therefore tried as a user rather than a trafficker, and was only sentenced to 3 months. Either way, she was a very lucky girl considering the harsh penalties Corby and the Bali 9 all got.
lol, i didnt actually read the wiki article even though i posted it - prob should have... either way, after the schapelle corby debacle, any fool caught with drugs in that country is a complete and utter imbecile atsch
