How many seconds does it take for Hearns blistering right hand to help Norris find a nice soft spot on the canvas ?
Hearns's most significant KO victories came in round 2. Norris most famous KO loss came in round 2. I'll go with a Hearns TKO2 Norris.
None of you people know anything whatsoever about boxing if you think anyone at 154 just sparks Terry Norris like he's nothing. Swear to god, the **** you see on this board sometimes.
Norris had a glass jaw man. Hearns is one of the hardest hitters of all-time at this weight. You do the math.
Luigi Minchillo and Robert Hutchens can go the distance with Hearns, but HOF'er Terry Norris, four time JMW champ with about 20 title defenses, one of the most consistently excellent fighters of the 90's can't. Ok. Get your head back into reality. This is boxing, not a comic book.
Anybody who gets hit flush on the button by Julian Jackson has a glass jaw. Hearns was chinny himself. Was Hearns a bigger talent and better fighter than Terry Norris? More likely than not. Would he chew through in two like he wasn't even there? Abso****inglutely NOT.
I can see where you are coming from but I don't think it's a valid point. Duran, who was better than the two you mentioned couldn't last two rounds so your point is invalid. The only way Hearns was beaten during his prime was when the likes of Hagler and Leonard went all out against him risking their own chin. Norris did not have an a great chin at least not better than Hagler nor Leonard's. Disagree with your statement that Hearns isn't as skilled as Norris. I believe he was out pointing Leonard before he got KO'd. That has got to say something about his skills. Some have also claimed that he would have been greater than Robinson if he had an ATG chin. Hearns KOs Norris early.
Dummy. I never said he wasn't as skilled as Norris, so how the **** can you disagree with me saying that? He was MORE skilled than Norris. That said, Norris was a ****ing offensive machine who could crack like a mother****er when he wanted to and he was more than capable of landing something sensational on Hearns or anyone else with more than enough power to hurt him. Norris would most likely beat Duran who only had one excellent performance at WW and got beat by far lesser fighters than Norris several times, but it doesn't really matter whether you agree or not because the point is Hearns doesn't walk thru Terry Norris at 154.
Prime Tyson gets inside Lewis' lame jab and knocks him out in 12 seconds. Without a shadow of a doubt.
