I was even around when they signed to fight. there was never any mention about an upset. Terry didnt even get a second look from the press. and after the fight he still barely got any mention becuz SI dont like to even ackowledge he beat Leonard. It hurts for them to write stuff like that.

I see no problem with Leonard in his previous fight and cant see any reason for the dropoff you keep mentioning. it's all in your mind

name me one thing you saw with Ray in uno mas. He won all the rounds and got no problem with his legs to outmanuver stone hands

Carlos Monzon have 120 fights by age 35 compared to Leonards 35 fights. I dont understand how he can be washed up?

and yes, Terry has the better chin. Tell me again who was on the floor and who wasnt?

If I recall correctly, Ray was put on the floor by Howard who is much smaller than Ray. Ray only 27

why you keep forgetting that? it was 3 yrs before Hagler. So terry would beat Ray at 27 years too!

Terry would also beat Ray from the Kalule fight becuz Ray got too many problems from someone w no speed, no power, and is easy to hit. Terry is none of that. and it's not like Ray wins his fights easy. he struggles all the time while Terry make it look easy

the only reason you like to bring up his chin is so you can make him look vulnerable

Terry have no problem w Brown in the rematch but you keep forgetting to bring that up. Terry just take him lightly the first time. The rematch you see the real Norris. And when Norris dont want to be touched, no one can touch him. Ray cant hit a moving target like Norris, thats why he have all kind of problems

It is highly entertaining for everyone here when you say that kid canvas Norris had a better chin than SRL ! And you are delusional at best when you say that SRL was anywhere close to prime against Norris. What you keep forgetting about being on the canvas, is that Norris made a living on the deck and got stopped ! You seem to conveniently ignore my hearns reference ? Now what would that be ??? Maybe because you would have to say with a straight face that Norris he of wobbly legs and glass chin could have taken Hitmans right hand bombs. And then get laughed right of this entire sight. And remember Einstein that SRL had been our for a long time when he fought Howard. But did you forget yet again that he got up ??? Where as Norris couldn`t when he got floored. I love bringing Mullings up because he pummeled and finished Norris who was IN HIS PRIME ! Norris was nothing but a frontrunner who folded when he came up against anyone with any grit. Jackson,Mullings Brown, Rosenblatt Boudani ect... SRL would have dropped and stopped kid candle (one blow and he`s out) Norris in SRL prime. Beleive me pal, when talk of all time greats come up, there isn`t even a whisper of Norris. Thomas Hearns would have starched him FLAT in two rounds. To be considered a truly great, you have to have a CHIN ! No more talks abou truly terrible terry...

Forgot to mention that he was pretty good at cheap shots too. Hitting opponents when they were on the deck. Imagine how many times he would have been hit himself considering all the times HE was on the deck !!!

Rooster, I`m convinced ! I started a `Terrible `Terry Norris post vs SRR. SRR would be a plodder alongside Norris blinding speed. The question how would SRR handle Norris destructive power ? If your bored tonight, you really should watch the clip on that post of Norris amazing fight with Julian Jackson. That ref should never be allowed to ref a fight again. What a ridiculous quick stoppage, couldn`t he see Norris was playing possum ? And that he was going to get up and devastate Jackson with his amazing recuperative powers and KO Jackson ???

He proved it. What I dont understand is how you can tell me Ray had the better chin when it was Ray hitting the canvas. Does that make sense?

Terry never tasted canvas in that fight. Leonard did.

    So you were saying?

and I never saw Hearns take out Norris. that fight doesnt even exist yet you keep talking about it like it happened. The way I remember it, Tommy didnt have the best chin either. All you have to do is watch him vs Andries, Barkley, Roldan, Kinchen.

BTW, Norris holds the record for titles defenses at 154. How many does Sugar have?

Ray was out for ANOTHER three years when he faced Hagler. He didnt do so bad

He was only out two years and 27 when facing Howard who, was much smaller than him. If Leonard were the great fighter you say, he wouldnt have had so much trouble with someone so much smaller. you know I'm right

Norrisi with his speed wouldve ran circles around Ray and defeated him - with ease

i dont see what youre complaining about

I saw Ray punching Hagler clearly after the bell on more than one occasion along with several other fouls like the groin shot in round four. I'm sure it's okay when Leonard does it becuz I could see the front row at Caesar's on their feet clapping- that douchebag with the wedge sitting up front that used to attend all the big fights. couldnt stand the sight of that f#@#ng stuck up white *****

anyways, once Ray ran into Hector, a true dirty fighter if there ever was one, he showed Ray a thing or two about dirty fighting. Hitting & holding, I love it

I ran a post about Norris vs Hearns. Check it out, china chin is not doing so well... Tell me why P4P great Norris never sought a rematch with Jackon ?? Bad chin, weak ticker maybe ???

Jackson moved up to campaign at 160, taking the WBC title the following year. Terry is a small boned 154 pounder, built for speed. He doesnt need to move up and proved he was superior to all those multiple division chumps

Ray Leonard wasnt shot. He just came off a perfect performance over Duran. Steve Farhood said so. Tim Ryan said so. How could any of them know Ray was going to go up against a blazing fast Terry Norris that couldnt be touched?

Terry's speed is so great, it's like his fights aren't even fair

None of those guys were shot. Terry just made them LOOK shot! :yep

Taylor at 25. No way he can be shot. and Ray had never the experience he had going into the Norris fight. Unbeaten in 11 yrs. His problem was he never went up against someone this fast. Mugabi, like Leonard, was champion but instantaneously froze when struck by a savage Norris left hook. It was irrisistable. That is, no one could stand up to it

unless you can explain why they were shot, then they really aren't shot

anyways, youre upset becuz of how easy my man Terry whupped Leonard

Delusional as usual... Keep it coming though, we all need the laughs :) Norris P$P king of all times !!! King of china chin that is !!! I like intelligent talk about relevant fighters with relatively knowledgeable people. But, when you keep referring to SRL being in his prime or close to it when he fought Norris, I get what a lack of boxing acumen you have... Shot is just shot, no explanation needed. Norris was nothing but a front runner who is never in anyones discussions regarding all time greats. He was knocked out on several occasions by significantly less than fighters. Intelligent boxing people are amused by your ignorance regarding Norris horrid chin. Severely weak chin does not a great fighter make... See ya later Einstein...
