"WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has promised to check Wladimir Klitschko chin - over and over again - until the WBO/IBO/IBF champion starts having flashbacks of his knockout defeats to Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster. Haye faces Klitschko likely on July 2 in Germany. the British fighter has placed the flag on his training camp in the United States. Haye left London to seclude himself in training, in Miami, Florida. "Once I consistently start hitting him on the chin - maybe not the first time or the second time but slowly he will start having flashbacks to the Corrie Sanders fight or the Lamon Brewster fight where he got violently exposed and knocked out, where he was crawling around on his hands and knees. I'm going to put him back in that position. It's going to be a tough task but I will find a way to beat him," Haye said. Haye doesn't agree with idea that he's too small to beat tall fighters like Wladimir Klitschko. He predicts that it's going to be a very tough fight, but Klitschko will not be able to deal with the difference in speed. "A lot of thinking was heavyweights have got to be heavy," he said. "People asked 'are you going to be big enough to deal with these giants?' and my philosophy has always been speed. Speed is the key; it's what opens up all the doors to landing my big power punches. If you've got a big game plan, if you're focused then you can pull it off. I don't see the weight and size difference being a big factor with Wladimir. Once again people are going to write me off saying I'm too small and I can't do it but time and time again I've proved a great little man beats a good big man."
Haye has less than 3 months left to come up with all kinds of this crap... I'm counting the days! :yep
This forum has got a far higher percentage of idiots than I've experienced on a boxing forum............. have I accidentally logged on to a ******s forum?
You can say that again - and the rest of the boxing forums are nothing to write home about either! Ironically, if you go to a wrestling forum - a dumb assed thing like wrestling "sports entertainment" - you will find many intelligent and thoughtful contributors, many in the business themselves.
Well, actually it is. The whole idea of forums like this would be the intelligent interchange of information and ideas, wouldn't it? In theory at least. In practice, well...
Harrison, Valuev, and Thompson who he sparred with, might be big, but they're unathletic. Wlad is a big athletic fighter with good to decent speed. Harrison and Valuev are slow and methodical, its easier to utilize your footspeed against the type of guys.
