murray gallagher split ?

i think gallagher wants to protect his win streak.

 

Some of the comments on here are mind boggling You do understand that this spanish boxer was ranked 280 or something on boxrec and had already been stopped by the hard punching Daniel Rasilla. thats why powell picked him, murray was supposed to look sensational
this isnt the same situation as some of murray previous fights where he came in on short notice, he had 2 whole months to prepare for the fight and came in spink and span ready to fight, John murray=light weight version of jamie moore nothing bad in that, but there will be limits to how far he'll go.

 

I dont blame Gallagher, Murray is just technically flawed, and its hard to change the habits of a life time. Murray could of jabbed his way in, he could of moved his head more on the way in, and he probably gets hit less if he does that, but you put Murray in there with someone who is particularly good from range, tell him to do the same thing, use the jab etc, allow for some separation, work his way in, which means slowing the tempo down, he has the potential to get picked off something chronic. What would you avocate if this were to happen against a better opponent because he's trying to do the right things against the wrong opponent, change his trainer again?

Some fighters are just more effective fighting off your chest(Hatton), as they might not be technically good enough to compete from range against the better fighters.

 

If were not even sure who would win between Murray and Kevin Mitchell then how the **** can you be givivng him any chance against the JMM, Soto, Katsidis, Rios, ect

 

When there reflexes go like everyones does, the ingle trained fighters stand out terrible. Balance especially.Nelson aside

 

Have to agree.I wanted Jamie Moore to win a world title sooooo bad because i like everything about him but he was not world class i'm sorry to say

 

all of joe's conditioning ideas came from bob shannon.i was their when joe had his notebook out writing it all down!!! but he wont admit it.

 

Of coarse a trainer can win you a fight by impimenting a game plan and reading the fight whilst its happeningatsch

 

Silly statement gooners as in murrys bad habits of a lifetime? Hes been a pro many years and had many fight basic mistakes like that shouldnt be there now,higher class opponents will explot those frailties

A don't think Murray should leave Gallagher but there needs to be some desperate changes after Saturdays performance maybe it was a off night or ring rust!! But the performance was shocking!!! We will see in the near future how gallagher is by way of protecting Murray and protecting joes precious unbeaten record!! As of best trainers in Britain I have my top 4 and Joe gallager ain't in it!!! He loves the media to much IMO!! But let's hope things do change with Murray he deserves a shot at the top with the past performances!!!

 

I just dont want to come down hard on Joe like others have, I think the internet is great thing, but its also a place where by people can fudge public perception and try to diminish your reputation.

I agree with what your saying Billy, as I would of tried to iron out Murray's flaws, that said, I aint gonna crucify Gallagher for it, Ricky Hatton was not exactly the most technical fighter himself, but he did alright for himself, not that Murray is in that league, but you take my point.
