    Was old trafford sold out for this. how many were in the arena?

    I think i've read somewhere 40,000, don't quote me mind, and I'd guess that was a sell out at the time!

    I was there, all available seats were sold (as far as I was aware), obviously with Old Trafford not being the best ground for views, the seats at the top of the stands were simply not used.

    boxrec states 42,000 below the details of the fight on Benn's profile, but if you click on the wee book to the right hand side for the further details on the fight the attendance is stated as 48,000. :huh

    I've always thought it was 47,000. And I had one of the best seats in the house :D
