It's funny isn't it, as good as Roy was, I just couldn't get sold on him as a legend. It's funny how we gravitate to different fighters for different reasons and other fighters, as good as they are, we just can't get hot on.
Appreciate your opinion Contendo, but I gotta say his fast hands and total domination of opponents impressed the hell out of me.
Yeh I appreciate those skills too CHB, it's just something not clicking for me. Maybe it was some of the opposition, I don't know, maybe just not one of my type of 'fighters'. I must admit, I've always had a leaning to 'fighters', not 'boxers' and maybe that's it.
Continuing beyond his use-by date is certainly unlikely to enhance his reputation or his future health prospects Shiner - no argument there.
I met Roy here in Perth before the Green fight. He is a genuine awesome fellow. Signed a glove for me
I went up to Sydney to watch him spar and be interviewed at the Casino - glad I made the trip - but pity he did so poorly against Green.
Lebedev is gonna smash him real bad. Sad he is staying in the game so long past his prime just for a paycheck.
