. Matt Biondi ruled swimming in 1988 and no one who preceeded him could ever beat him in his prime. Now Michael Phelps demolishes Matt Biondi handily. So imagine what he can do to swimmers in the 1950's or1960's during Ali or Ray Robinson's time.

. Powerlifters and weightlifters of today have broken records of their predecessors. From George Hackenschmidt’s 361lb bench press record in 1898 to the current record of 1075lbs held by Ryan Kennelly the bench press has a rich history. 712lbs separates current bench press record holder from the original and raw power couple with human ingenuity has allowed modern day powerlifters to push the envelope of what is humanly possible.

As I mentioned awhile ago, Carl Lewis beats Jesse Owens any given day, now imagine USAIN BOLT killing Jessie Owens if they ever met.

Michael Jordan beats Julius Erving or any player that preceded him in the skills department one-on-one.... so go even further and imagine Michael Jordan playing against Pistol Pete Maravich whom everyone regarded as the best. Even Roger Federer on a bad day easily beats Mc Enroe with the added skill, technique and power.

So STOP Romanticizing that the classic ones were better as even Emmanuel Steward (a known Pac Critic) said after seeing Pac demolish Cotto it was the first time in his whole boxing life he has witnessed such a level in boxing easily dislodging the likes of Aaron Pryor from his own mouth.

Now speed, skill, power and technique applies to boxing. You see it in all his videos, you see it in the way Pacquiao performs and tries his best to better it for the fans. You are blind or simply a hater if you say Pacquiao does not possesses them all and in an elite level. With his accomplishments, and his resume. The names below (Ledwaba & Sasakul weren't full-fledged stars) are Hall of famers in their own right. All names below have avid following and fans in their own right. To be a fan of one of these names below is to be a real fan of boxing. RESPECTED in the squared ring.

Oscar Larios-- will be inducted into the Hall of Fame

Ricky Hatton-- Hall of Famer when retires

Miguel Cotto--- Hall of Famer when he retires

Erik Morales--- Hall of Famer, one of Mexico's best

Marco Barerra---- Hall of Famer, one of Mexico's best

Juan Marquez--- Hall of Fame, one of Mexico's second best

Antonio Margarito--- Hall of fame into Shame. A star.

Oscar Dela Hoya--- Hall of Famer no need to explain

Has anyone in the sport of boxing done this? No one.

I'd say he has a strong case by becoming the Greatest of All Time. :good

  2. So why Pacquaio who has three loses and two draws? Why not Floyd who is undefeated?

People like you try to overanalyze and even use science but in the end of the day Floyd is undefeated.

I'll wait until Pac's career is done until I asses where he truly stands among the all time greats. Judging by his accomplishments today, I'd say he's doing well.

Joe Calzaghe has had more fights than Floyd and he is undefeated, ergo, Calzaghe>Mayweather.

Ali in 1976 beat George Foreman, Foreman in 1994 beat Moorer....

Wilt Chamberlain was better player than Lew Alcindor in early 1970s, old Kareem Abdul Jabbar schooled one of the most skilled center in NBA history - Hakeem Olajuwon, and in 1995 NBA finals Hakeem schooled Shaq. So Shaq=<Wilt and Wilt>Dwight Howard, because Shaq is way better than Howard, who is the best center in our era.

From the mouth of an opposing corner and trainer Robert Garcia trainer of Margarito:

"People can't be mad at us or blame us for the loss. Everybody else, every other fighter that's lost to him, same thing... It's just that he's out of this world. Something that's special."

Asked about Pacquiao's impact in the history of boxing, Garcia didn't hold back his thoughts. "He's (Pacquiao) somebody that's going to be remembered, somebody that's still going to be recognized 300 years from now. Somebody that's still going to be remembered as one of the best."

Exactly. His record doesn't lie, zero losses! And more wins than Mayweather.

There are few entries of Floyd Mayweather here. But, as always, he is behind Pacquiao.

  13. You can't trap me with that argument. Let this be the last time I say this. Calzaghe fought here in the United States the universal proving ground for boxing only in his last three fights. Or was it two? :patsch

What difference does it make where he fought? He has MORE wins and he is UNDEFEATED! He is better, by the very own logic you pointed out in your first post.

You took the special bus to school didn't you.
