Although my guess was wrong, still my premise is that Ariza knows what's best for Pacquiao since he's the one that taking care of him. Just like how Chef would know best what to do with Klitschko.
Pac has a VASTLY different need from the Klits. While Chef must maintain a specific level to prevent the Klits from getting bigger, Ariza must maintain a high metabolism athlete like Pac in order to maintain his muscle mass and to be effective at 147. With the wrong diet his metabolism could drop his weight closer to 137-142 range I suspect. The Klits are more concerned with weight gain, while Pac is more concerned about weight loss, specifically, loss through muscle deterioration since his body is basically 0% fat. Since his work out is extremely intense, Ariza feeds Pac protein shakes in order to prevent muscle breakdown. Depending on the amount it could takes up to several days to completely digest all those heavy meat. At that time, Pac's body could be eating itself because from the intense workout.
Alright I see some posters here know their stuff and I admire that. My question though is, since pacquiao comes from a third-world nation, is it possible he burns the whole-food he eats because of some worms or some parasites? Those who have worms are known to often "burn" food quickly. Just a thought.
Getting enough fat (omega 3 fish oil) is probably more important for building muscle than getting enough protein. Of course this depends a lot on the metabolism, but science has proven in animal studies that consumption of high intake of fish oil leads to increased weight and muscle growth. Omega 3 fat and protein, along with adequate carbs are all one needs to gain muscle. Expensive shakes are unnecessary for most individuals. A bowl of rice, a few cans of sardines or fresh salmon, and 4 tablespoons of fish oil are all one needs. If more calories are necessary, then consume more rice and more fish oil. The only time to take a protein shake is before going to sleep.
There are worms and parasites in a first world nation as well. Do the rural poor in America have that problem?
It does not take several days to digest meat. You apparently don't know what you are talking about. It takes between 12 and 24 hours to digest even the heaviest meat. If it took several days to digest meat then we'd be able skip a few days because our stomach would still be digesting meat.
This is not true. If you consume too much protein it can stress out your kidneys and cause problems. Also if you consume too much protein at a time it can cause your body to go into protein burning mode and when that excess protein you consumed runs out, your body will be perfectly primed to burn muscle. It's best to always consume protein with a balance of fat and carbs.
Dude, Im not talking about eating 200 grams in one sitting. When I say excess protein, Im talking about eating up to 60 to 70 grams at a time... like when you eat a ribeye steak. That IS considered excess. The average person only needs no more than 1 gram of protein per body fat on a daily basis to maitain good health. For someone to experience kidney stress, they would have to cosume an amount of protein that would be difficult to keep from throwing back up. I do agree that a healthy balance between carbs, fat, and protien.. such as a 2.1.1 ratio... is the best way to maintain good health, however when you are dealing with a highly active althelete, the excess protien will keep muscle from breaking down. For someone like Pac, protein shakes are highly necessary.
exactly. Thats all I was saying. In the video, I dont know exactly what he is eating and how much protein he had....... Yes, the powder is absorbed faster since it is broken down already, but if Pac was eating enough protein during his meal, the shake is not needed.... Like I said, i dont know his meal plan.... all I was saying was a huge protein shake after a guy eats the recommended protein isnt something I would do...... I would save it for The smaller "inbetween meals" I dont know Pac's diet or how his body reacts to certain things.....maybe he doesnt like to eat a lot of animal protein.....in which case i get the shake I did work with a guy who ate small amounts of aminal protein because he would suffer from Gout... in that case we did give him more vegetable and milk based protein shakes
CORRECT... and that is why I questioned it... a large meal shows me that training is not anytime soon... maybe 3-4 hours later at best... all that protein at that time seemed like a lot to me...... but He knows his guy.... just like I know the K brothers
