Please explain how a yet-to-exist pre-foetus would win a fight against a top-ranked heavyweight of the 1950s.

Oh, you must be meaning if there was a magical time machine that transported people to different eras? Well, last time I checked, a boxer was not assessed on whether he can beat people fighting 50 years in the future, but on how well he did against his actual real life competition at the time. That is, after all, how they score fights, and inflict or suffer stoppages - against the opponents of their era, not some fantasy fight.

And by those criteria, Marciano did the job as well as could have been expected, 49-0. Holyfield didn't quite do as well as that.

You are deluded. Marciano on gear would be slower, being considerably slow in the first place, and have less stamina, which was one of his strongest attributes. Think a less physically gifted version of Tua but with far more heart and balls. He had short arms and was of average height, bulking up would not suit his style at all. He isn't doing anything against the aforementioned fighters.


96 Tyson would knock Marciano out relatively quickly, just as would have been the case with Holyfield if he tried to trade for periods. It's just an awful style matchup. Holy had a far more proven/better chin and decent handspeed, he also fought that fight very smartly and grapple ****ed Tyson every time he got within 5 metres of him.

 

He was a shot-to-**** corpse against them, fact.

 

He was younger than either Holmes or Foreman were at the time he fought them. And both of those guys are counted as good solid wins for Holyfield, aren't they? They are generally listed as two of his five best wins, right?
