I'm not entirely sure I know what you mean, S. I see EM getting pulled into close range tear ups more than MAB, and isn't it a close range type of affair that would most suit a bully like Saddler?

Boxrec lists Morales as taller and with a longer reach.

Whether this is true or not, I don't particularly like the chances of either.

EM is certainly taller but it's worth noting that MAB won both of their "boxing" matches. EM was outjabbed conclusively in their third fight.

    Fair enough.

How about Danny Lopez, that fight would guarantee fireworks.

No chance, bro. Barrera would never catch Pep. Sanchez would wear him down knock him out. Saddler doesn't put the pressure on like Sanchez does, he isn't quick and he isn't elusive like Pep. He'd come froward stalking and Barrera would be firing salvo's that he's not getting away from. If Barrera fights smart, i think he could put a stop to Saddler's mauling before he can trap Barrera

Dude, why do you have that dude from Hook as your avatar? He had a pretty **** power level, and is 0-1 in title fights. Glass heart.

I did a post on his career last week but it went unnoticed. Rufio was unlucky to meet Hook at the time that he did(when he was green as baby ****). He had a spectacular level of competition so early in his career. He made it to Pan, leader of the Lost Boys, killed many seasoned pirates, had no fear of Peter and challenged Hook, at such a young age.

What a fiery star we lost, taken away from us too soon. Who knows what he might have become. He had class too, acknowledging Peter's superiority, "you are the Pan" after being outgunned in a fantasy food fight and being outwitted in a bangarang.

The power level i'm getting from the franchise are

    Thudd Butt: 225,000
    Rufio : 260,000
    Hook : 285,000
    Old Peter Pan: 300,000
    Prime Peter Pan: 315,000

ps: Its the movie of my childhood.

Still, sounds like hyperbole for most part. We only really have footage of one of his fights and he got schooled by Hook. I'm not sure if his legacy was based mostly on myth, P.

Well being leader of the Lost Boys speaks for itself. We do have footage of him killing 6 or 7 pirates with ease prior to the Hook showdown. He held his own with Peter in the bangarang, with some 6th grade reading level words. Some might say he was lucky lucky, but he did manage to get Hooky, prior to the fatal blow. He could fight, he could crow, and i dont doubt if was around to reach his prime, he also learn to fly.

Yeah, but those 6-7 pirates are the equivalent to Louis' 'bum of the month' tour. Okay, it's impressive the manner in which he disposed of so many opponents in such a short amount of time, but were they credible opponents? And fair enough, he did indeed do quite well in the bangarang, but I could name you dozens of fighters who were known for performing in sparring. Paul Spadafora was a demon in the gym. Holmes reportedly handled Ali in sparring. How much weight does all of this really hold when discussing greatness?

Rufio was a good fighter, but I think the hook demolition speaks volumes. His power level was probably closer to 100,000.

I think it depends on how strictly the rules are enforced. Some of Saddlers best wins could have easily been DQ losses.

The better boxer mover types could certainly beat him over ten rounds, even allowing for the fact he will start quicker.15 is a lot tougher though. Not a lot of them are really all that safety-first in mindset.

Famechon has the ring perimeter movement, speed, skills and is maybe the most safety conscious.I'd give him a good chance.

Maybe Marcel would have the necessary mobility, speed, skill and chaotic awkwardness to get a decision in similar fashion to his arguello bout.Pedroza too.

Sanchez could well be tough enough, but his chin would be tested mightily.

Saddler is someone i'd always root against though.I don't like fighters that trade too much on size and power.Saddler was one of the best ever at taking advantage of those traits, but his skills were vulgar and unbecoming;) compared to other lanky powerpunchers i could name.

Sierra and Terranova both beat him above the 126 pound limit and Rosas got his win done via some nice home cooking.

At 126 pounds, in a 15 rounder with something important on the line, Saddler would **** most men's **** up.

I'll be back to read this thread more carefully later on. :good

Saddler lost decisions to lesser fighters when there was little at stake. Put a featherweight championship on the line, and Saddler brings his A-game. And even though MAB improved, Saddler's A-game is the equivalent of Pac's A-game at the weight. And we all know what happened when they fought.

Why do people talk like Barrera had anything less than iron chin? Dude had a great chin(Junior Jones I aside) , manny had to hit him with every thing and the kitchen sink.... Sanchez was a great fighter and one of my favorites but i just dont see him stopping Barrera.

Ok back to subject of the thread... Id go with Armstrong,Sanchez and maybe Arguello... I think Barrera would have a oood shot if he boxes more in thhis fight.... Also like a prime Azumah Nelsons chances, something tells me he could deal with Sadlers rough stuff.... Ooh and Eusebio Pedroza too who could dish out tactics and was a big fw with a real good chin as well as a slick boxer.
