Vicente Saldivar vs Howard Winstone III

I didn't bother to score the rounds. I felt they were fighting evenly up to around round 6 or 7, and then Winstone began to get tagged with straight left hands more and more. Winstone was eventually stopped as his cornerman threw in the towel after a barrage rained in from Saldivar. Thought maybe they could have let it go a bit longer. It was mainly jabs he was getting hit with towards the end rather than full blown power shots.

Changed my mind, on Gonzalez anyway having watched his FOTY against Sorjaratorung, which I've spelt pitifully wrong. Gonzalez was so hittable. Arbachakov would stop him in about the tenth. Carbajal I think might force a late stoppage against him, but would be down himself in a good fight. Kittikassem knocked Arbachakov down pretty clean, I'm not sure Carbajal would let him off the hook. I'd love to see more Japanese/Korean etc (I know Arbachakov is Russian but you get the idea) boxers get exposed on a wider basis.

It's not really fair to judge Gonzalez on that performance, Chris. Gonzalez was past his prime by this time and he would never fight again. You're still on point though. Gonzalez was always fairly hittable, and despite resembling a tough, rugged Mexican, he really couldn't take that great of a shot as evidenced by the multitude of times he was stopped.

He ain't moving up and taking Yuri's best stuff. No sir, no way.

Watch the first and second fights, Addie. A much better indicator of a more prime Winstone, as he was really becoming shop-worn by the third fight, the Legra rematch, etc. Baby Luis, too, watch that one. Lennie Williams, too.

    Definitely, El.

I got out my Yuh vs Ioka I & II fights with the intention of watching those, but it had the third Saldivar/Winstone fight on there too. Given our discussion the other day, I decided to watch that one instead. I realise Winstone had seen better days.

everyone should watch the Luis fight.great little bout that is.

If you don't like or the skills in that, th welshman isn't likely to be a fighter you'll favour or enjoy watching.Which is fine of course.

Re-watched Jofre vs Medel just recently, alongside other footage of Jofre. Going over it again I'm starting to think Jofre may've been just as good as advertised (ability-wise, anyway). I noticed a lot of things I either hadn't before or had simply forgotten. Better than Arguello, Olivares, and Zarate for me, among others.

Jofre is gorgeous to watch in my opinion. Sucks that there isn't more footage of him available. Only seen his two fights with Harada and highlights of the Medel fight on YT.

The full fight with Medel is up as well. There's been clips posted of quite a few other fights of his, although I'm not sure they're on Youtube.

Apologies for not having uploaded it. I tried using that program you suggested Addie, but I needed to download some other program before I could use it and I had trouble finding it.

I've tried some other vob to avi programs but they all result in quality loss to the point where it sucks to watch the fight. So I'm kind of at a loss at the moment. Addie, if that program works for you , it would be great if you can upload it.

I'm happy to pass the fight on to someone that can upload it too.

What a **** around...this is why I don't upload fights because frankly I have no ****ing idea.

Appreciate the effort boys but don't go to this much trouble...I might just grab it in the next order of stuff I get off RB.
