Williams being dropped once counts as him being finished? Cotto is war torn

Indecisive Williams is basically killing his career with inactivity & HOPING for a may/pac fight instead of just doing his thing. Why worry over something you have no control over?

Tough fight for both. I know Cotto is small but he did beat Quintana who beat Williams. I'm tired of people saying that Williams workrate is too much for Cotto, especially when he lost to a fighter who is not at Cotto's level. I'm not predicting a winner just saying that anything can happen in boxing. They are both warriors. Great fight in my book.

If promoters would actually promote, this could be a big fight..

Regardless if it could potentially catch on with casual fans or not, I'd love to see it.

Cotto loves a challenge. Call him the anti-Mayweather. Williams would be favored, but be in a position of "win or your career at this level is over (at least for a while)." It has the making of a good fight.

Man both these guys are ****ing A, in their primes I'd favor Cotto, but at this stage I think PWilly is still too dangerous. Cotto should worry about his last 2-3 fights with Margarito and Jr, easier money bigger fights. Williams needs a sacrificial lamb to slaughter and get back into the groove and put the Martinez loss behind him. I really wanna see PWilly get another belt again, possibly vs Bundrage before Williams takes on killers like Kirkland.

cotto showed he still has something in the tank against mayorga. many fighters would have been ruined with the punishment and wars cotto has taken.

at this point, cotto has cost me more money than i have won. he has a good shot against pw.

i would have never said that after the pac fight.

physically, the one punch ko should not affect pw as he did not take any punishment in that fight. psychologically, we'll have to wait and see.

Bad fight for Cotto if hes gonna take high risk,he should take fight that pays more.... I cant see him winning this at best hes competetive but gets stopped late.

Paul Williams weathered the pressure storm from Margacheato and beat him in a clear close UD. Cotto will lose this one just on activity alone.

And i also think Williams hurts Cotto at one point and wouldnt let him off the hook, This might not go past 6 or 7 rounds... I was being optomistic on Cottos part when i said he makes it to the late rounds.

I think PW has underrated power, hes not a big puncher by any means but hes got sharp power, and he doesnt let up and never stops punching.

This comes down to discipline and trainers. Cotto has Steward. Williams has Peterson. Paul has volume but throws a lot of arm punches. I can't believe people thinking he stops Cotto. I really can't. Cotto uses his new training and discipline to work Paul to the body. He has a clear strength advantage and can do more damage inside. Paul will let him inside too. That is the way he fights.

Love to see it, but it wouldn't make sense for Cotto right now. PDub needs a good win first.

I also think it would be a good fight for us fans. I also think Cotto can pull the W. It would be a very interesting match up
