Clottey (35-4-1NC), lost by DQ to Baldomir, Cotto by SD, Margarito by UD (broke his hand in 4th round), Pac by UD. Wins against Corrales and Zab Judah who were both lost to Floyd.

What will be his chances against Floyd if ever they are to fight? Both have great defense. Different defensive style though.

Floyd wins UD, but a very very very boring fight.

Clottey just doesnt move his hands enough, which is too bad because he throws excellent punches. I also think his speed is comparable to Floyds at welterweight. Still he fights in spots, and Floyd would win 2 out of 3 minutes of most rounds and take a UD.

Mayweather could fight clottey and cotto on the same night and UD them both.

I was watching his highlights vs Cotto. He looks pretty tough. Great defense, counter-puncher, with decent speed and power. He just looked clueless against Pac. He prob'ly thought Pac would tire but that didn't happen. He didn't want to take his chances. Against Floyd, it'll be different.

Mayweather would fight Clottey very aggressively and will look to put combos together vs him. Fighting a slowed down defensive fight would be more of the pace that Clottey would like to fight at. So there would be no reason for Mayweather to fight at that pace. Up the tempo and rely on the elite hand speed.

Anybody who voted that Clottey beats Floyd is delusional...Clottey brings nothing to the table, except a nice physique...also, Clottey did NOT suffer a broken hand against Margarito, he claimed he broke it, but xrays showed that he did not.

You think the fight will be a total mismatch? Can you explain why?

so, he has solid D and is a counter-puncher.....and you think he would beat the guy with the best D and best counter-punching in/near the same weight class?

floyd may be a tool outside the ring, but how someone actually thinks clottey of all people gives him trouble is beyond me

Clottey brings nothing to the table to bother Floyd. He is a bit bigger, but he does not use his size and force his will on opponents. He is very predicatable, his transition from offense to defense is terrible. He just covers up in a shell and throws when he wants to, he has no head or body movement and can't slip punches. He is not as powerful as his frame would suggest (he only has like 16 KOs I THINK), nor is he fast...he has a chin and decent timing IF he decides to throw.
