Nice to see two Sw Londoner's in this list . Yep Danny took some beatings in his time...some were his own creation but the Vitali one he was brave as ****...but as Beeston said...out of shape so i don't feel to sad when looking back.

Don fought one of most savage fighters this sports seen and took a beating like a real man should. My type of fighter...not a fan of quitting on stool.

 

Hatton Mayweather comes to mind cause I remember the commentry saying such bravary from Hatton.

My god, it only lasted one round but he stood there against a guy 5 levels above him and took a pasting. I recall watching it at the time after havin a debate with my ma about banning boxing and thinking maybe she is right. Maybe it was the quiet crowd making the piunches seem louder but it was vicious

I don't think so, Jennings did too much running to call it brave and never really let anything of his own go. Seems harsh but its a harsh sport and therefore the standards for attaining this sort of acclaim, for 'braveness', have to be pretty high.

Yeah..... whilst he was brave enough to take the fight with Cotto I'm not convinced it was a particularly brave showing.

He didn't embarrass himself, but he wasn't that much better than Lockett really..... the difference is that Jennings kinda knew what he was in for and just accepted it, Lockett gave it the big 'un before, then quit the fight and promptly said he hated boxing and retired - and thus Jennings gets a bit of a pass.

Jennings wasn't brave....he run on the outside and when Cotto stepped it up he fell apart rather quickly. I think he didn't show any of the ability he does have. Not saying he would of won but come on...he could of at least landed on Miguel a bit more and attempted to throw punches. Harrison and Lockett get a lot of stick but i think Michaels effort wasn't to brave either especially when it was Miguel's first fight back after Cheato.

 

Jennings jab was so crap in that fight. Only Luevano matches him for flicking about pointlessly. He threw about 2 right hands. Cotto was accurate, so he was scared of leaving any gaps. Soon as Cotto stepped it up, game over. He was outclassed for sure but he didn't show too many signs of braveness.

 

harsh....but true. even though it does take great balls to fight on that stage in the sense that you really are putting yourself out there to be shot down, nevermind taking a beating from a guy you KNOW you dont have the power to get rid of, i hear what you are saying
