Never go round-'n-round in those discussions 'bout who's better than who. Suffice to say, SRR 'n Pep are the best I've seen live...though Joe Louis wasn't chopped liver.

Man thats old school, how long you been following boxing then? Ok let me reword the question, what do you think of modern fighters who are big names like De La Hoya, Pac, Mayweather, RJJ, Tyson etc.
In the early '70s, working in a small town in Germany, went to an amateur boxing show in a beer hall. Everyone clinked steins bigger than they were. The buzz was all about a great middleweight with a long Prussian name. Couldn't wait to see him. To my surprise, he was black; the son of an American GI who skipped town. He spoke perfect German 'n adopted his mother's last name.

Let's see...this biggest name fighters I've seen live are: Sakio Bika * Juan Manuel Lopez ~ Yuriorkis Gamboa ~ Odlanier Solis ~ Monte Barrett ~ John Duddy ~ Rogers Mtagwa ~ Pawel Wolak ~ Jorge Diaz ~ Jaidon Codrington * Sam Soliman * Brian Vera * Mike Oliver * Henry Lundy * Elvin Ayala * Reynaldo Lopez * Danny O'Connor * ...and a bunch of other more obscure (primarily local) boxers...journeymen & leafy-green prospects. * - in Boston ~ - in New York City So, off that list I guess Lopez, Gamboa, Solis, Bika, Lundy and Vera are the best h2h fighters...in more or less that order (with Lopez and Gamboa interchangeable at the top)

Went to all three Pac-Morales fights, Castillo Corrales, and Barrera Marqeuz. Probably Pac was the best, but on that first Pac Morales one, boy oh boy what an awesome performance by Erik.
