I think hameds muslim intro is awesome and barrera schooled him. Nas was smart to retire, his heart wasnt in it anymore he would have picked up more losses. Still I think he is a waste of potential.
Before the fight i thought Barerra couldnt take his power and even though hed win the rounds picking up the points by doing the graft while Naseem danced around it wouldnt matter cuz it wouldnt go 12. During the fight i thought ****. Directly after the fight i thought, oh well maybe this is for the good, Naseem now understands he cant just rely on knocking them all out, sometimes hes guna have to throw more standard jabs, win some rounds on workrate not flooring people. And then i realised Barerra has took one of my favourite fighters souls. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsdXmYGFBcU[/ame]
Boxing misses people like Naz. I hated him, love watching that Barrera fight but he was damn exciting and did a lot for the sport in Britain.
sorry pal, but the video i found on youtube didnt have Naz's speech before the fight, thats the only reason i picked this version watch the fight:good
i hated Nas at the time. i even told my friends wayyyy back in the day that once he faces one of the superior Mexican lil men, he would get whooped. his talent is undeniable but the level of his opposition obviously made him look that much better. over the years i've learned to appreciate the guy. i actually miss the **** in the ring now.
First live fight I ever went to, greatest night of my favorite fighter's career, great night in my life.
I remember a lot of people in the UK saying he would be in for a shock when he faced the top mexican fighters.
naz couldve been so much bigger if he stepped up sooner he left it too late. at 23/24 he wouldve beaten anybody
could very well be the happiest night of my life its hard to pick for me barrera vs hamed barrera vs morales 3 liverpool istanbul win hated naseem hamed with a passion was so glad when he got his head banged into the ring post WHOS YE DADDY NAZ!
I didn't think Barrera had enough left at the time, but, loved every minute of it...Never thought for a second that would be the last time we'd see the prince, he is missed...
