    Shavers by 3rd round KO or Frazier TKO's a fatigued Shavers inside 7 rds...

    Shavers wasn't much of a finisher. He was a great puncher, and prob hit harder then Foreman like DudeGuyMan said, but if he floored Frazier he wouldn't stop him imo.
    Joe Frazier will probably stop him late with left hooks..

    In truth, both Foreman and Shavers made a career of kayoing "C & B" opponents...

    Foreman's best wins / KO's over top grade dude's are: "Frazier, Norton, Lyle, Cooney and Moorer."

    Shavers' best wins / KO's are over: "Ellis, Clark, Smith, Norton, Sims and Bugner."

    I think Earnie might win 30 percent of the time. Most of the time Frazier would survive the onslaught and stop a fatigued Earnie, kind of like Lyle did.

    Doesn't seem fair. How about Shavers VS Buddy Baer and Frazier VS, I don't know, another ATG? Preferably an ATG who isn't Tua or Young.

    Earnie has a chance with his power,especially as he had a tremendous uppercut , to match his right cross , which Joe would be vulnerable to, but once a slow starting Frazier gets rolling I think it would become one way traffic.
    Body shots would further deplete Shavers allready suspect stamina,and he would be ready to go around the 7/8 th rd mark. Frazier may have his rump on the canvas before then however.
    Ellis fights nothing like Frazier, and he had Earnie in some distress here ,but you can see Shavers uppercut doing the job, if this landed on Joe's chin it could be good night.

    Pretty poor example using the iron jawed Jerry Quarry as the reason Shavers wouldn't fare well against Frazier,don't you think? I mean,Quarry's chin was actually tried and tested against the biggest punchers the division offered during his era.And as much as it truly pains me to say so,I really can't really say the same for good ol' Joe Frazier.

    If we're talking a prime for prime scenario,then Joe wins by the fourth or fifth after weathering the early storm. Even up until 1975,inclusive,Frazier would prevail. After Manilla,I'd give Earnie a good shot.
