When Holyfield got knocked out by Bowe in that third match? It was on Showtime I believe. The commentators said 'What did he beat?' They figured that Holyfield was washed up then. That was 1995. But what did he do the following year? He upset Mike Tyson. He was looked at as cannon-fodder for Tyson. He upset him, and to add the fact I really don't like Holyfield as a fighter. Biggest headbutt cheat in the sport. He used his cheating ways all the time in fact. But, I do like Shane as a fighter and if he upsets Manny wouldn't it be compareable to Holyfield's comeback?

Yeah and the problem here is people over estimated Tyson. Holyfield was beating everybody just like Tyson was but because Tyson had some sort of super human fear factor thing, everyone thought Tyson was unbeatable despite the fact that Holyfield had the better record and physical advantages in every area.

Bowe got knocked down in that fight first before he knocked out Holyfield by a counter punch. It was truely a lucky punch though.

Holyfield's dirty style caused him his ear biting. He used his headbutt against Tyson first and that's why he got his ear bitten. He got what he deserved. Holyfield is the Dirtiest Fighter of All Time.

Don't expect Mosley to make an upset in this fight. It's not gonna happen.:happy

Holyfield was very sick when he fought Bowe that night, it caused many to wrongly believe he was done, IMO Tyson wouldn't have lost to that version of Holyfield.

Holyfield did butt a lot though. I don't blame Tyson for getting angry with all the butts and the damned referee didn't do anything about it either!

Mosley's already had that moment in the Margarito fight. If he beats Pac he be one up on Holy and his legacy will skyrocket (3 massive wins as a huge underdog - DLH, Margo, Pac, spanning more than a decade)

Just goes to prove the second fight was a fluke. Fanman benefitted Holyfield to get his second wind to get the decision.

The second fight was no fluke. Holy was just the better man that night, and he used the right gameplan. The fanman incident benefitted Bowe just as much as it did benefit Holy.

Holyfield was well into that third battle with Bowe when the KO happened. The scores were close at the time of the stoppage, but Riddick got already knocked down and to me it seemed as if after some shifts in the tide, Holyfield was gaining momentum. I'm not saying Holyfield would certainly have won the fight if it hadn't been for the stoppage, but there's a good chance he would have.
And the stoppage came suddenly. Bowe just caught Holy with a hook right on the chin when Holy was coming forward and putting it to Bowe during an exchange. I don't believe it was a 'lucky punch', after all Bowe threw it with intent, but the way it landed was surely somewhat 'fortunate' for Bowe, who had a surprised look on his face.

I never really believed that Hep A reason. I reckon it was his heart that was giving him problems in that fight

No, watch the fight again; Bowe benefited more from the Fan-Man, he was the one who was getting tired & needed a second wind to survive, not Holy.
