Sugar Ray Robinson is unreachable in this ranking !! just a too great, complete fighter with so many matches and so many important wins !!

The better question is if Manny, as HBO claimed, is the best offensive fighter of all time ???

Jim Lampley said in his years of broadcasting fights for HBO (25 years or so), Pac was the best offensive fighter he'd seen in person which he included Sugar Ray Leonard's name.

    Fair Comment.

I'd have no problem people arguing Pacquiao's case as the greatest boxer ever.

Personally i'd have him top 10 anyway.

also, Floyd has lost on a few occassions as an amateur.

Whilst Floyd was fannying about with headgear Pac was out fighting grown men aged 16 as a pro....

ANY boxers now can't possibly hope to be as good as Sugar Ray Robinson, the fight game has changed too much. The ring experience they got in the old days when they would fight once a month meant a boxer could be in his physical prime and also have the experience of seasoned veteran.

You could argue that modern conditioning and dietary know how might give an edge to modern fighters but really? Manny Pacquiao vs Sugar Ray Robinson?! Really??

  11. I agree, he looked super sensational, in fact almost out of this world with his last five fights that no boxer has ever done. But don't you think pacquiao's last sensational five wins could be due to steroids which he still refuses to disprove?

Arrgh useless to debate with some people here, No wonder You bombed out during the last World Cup.

Jim Lampley doesn't know ****....he has been a boxing putz of HBOs since the stone age, and he is still just as blind and the most ignorant things come out of his mouth. Then you listen to him stroke Roy Jones ego at ringside during the fight commentary.........pathetic.

  13. True. I probably know more about boxing than Jim "Cotto lover" Lampley

He said he would take the tests.. Why does this information seem to go in one ear and out the other for most people?

I read the title of this thread and thought it was a joke.

    Found out it was real.
