Depends on how cold it is. If running on a treadmill is more convenient then use the treadmill, if running outside is more convenient-then run outside. I use a treadmill a lot (it's -10 degrees here, you really can't go outside). Just make sure the incline is at least +1.
I hate it on the road it's too cold here i'm used to a good intense heat .I think i'll stick a treadmill at 1 percent and run today man .I can do 180 burpees over about 3 x 3 minute rounds so my condition is not a problem ..The treadmill I think is 10x better for intensity so f--k it i'm hitting the gym .Plus it's not as boring so I won't slack .
my town has a steel works so is covered in smog, as well as the motorway running right through the town, its pointless running outside, just get your lungs filled up with crap, I prefer a treadmill inside But if I lived somewhere with nice scenery and no pollution I would definately be all for running outside
Treadmills do not work the Posterea chain, long term it can damage your biomechanics. Stick to the road. Fortunatly ive invented one that works everything, but its £12,000
just put hat and gloves on and hit the dusty trail.i find i run faster outside mainly due to running through rough areas
scrap do you not believe in road running doing long term damage to your knees and joints ect. iv heard people say its inevitable you will end up with chronic injuries and people say with the right foot wear and training you wont!? whats your take ?
also how does it differ to road running , what makes road running work the posterea chain but treadmill not! Might be being dumb here sorry
