Also, these are issues that have NOTHING to do with the sport. Carrying plaster wraps into the ring with the intent to do bodily harm degrades the sport and puts a black eye on it. And THAT has no place in boxing.

Many fighters have done things outside the ring that are wrong. One of my fav fighters, Arturo Gatti, also had issues with domestic violence.

But did he ever try to cheat the sport? NO! :deal

It's en vogue to hate Pacquiao "because of his fans". If you're a true boxing fan, you're able to separate a good boxer and his fans. You'd also be able to distinguish and not fall into the obvious fallacy and hypocrisy that is hating Pacquiao by proxy of *******s when so many other high profile boxers have a large number of ignorant, loud, obnoxious fans. If you want to, hate the *******s - hate the Floydettes - etc. If you want to hate a boxer, do it because of his actions in or outside of the ring. But doing it on account of someone or some segment of people who the boxer has no control over or even interaction with just shows how ignorant you are and how much of a boxing fan you are.
