NBA admitted in a post that Paul was hurt pretty bad by his first round KD in the first Martinez fight and it took him several rounds to recover. It wasn't Sergio taking a rest. It was Sergio not being able to take advantage and allowing Paul back into the fight around the 4th/5th round that may have made it seem like he took the mid rounds off. Fact is, it took Pdub that long to recover. After NBA said that I went back and looked at the punch stats. I think they back up what NBA said.
