Garcia is backing up pawing with his jab and putting all his power into his right - straights and uppercuts. Campbell is blocking most of them, though. Campbell isn't doing stellar offensively himself. Campbell doing more chatting than punching. Garcia throws a swerving right hand into his head and Campbell says it was nothing. Another right to the head. Campbell comes forward and works to the body before they tie up. Byrd gets a break. Garcia is leading Nate on a wild goose chase, while dropping some rights to the body. Garcia borderline running. Campbell isn't wasting much energy, just moseying along and throwing selective punches...landing to the body and there's a 1-2 upstairs. They tie up and Campbell works his left hand. HUGE right loaded up by Campbell but whistles through the air and takes him off balance. Garcia misses a counter, Nate slipping it purely by accident while stumbling.

Round 9

Garcia backs away into the ropes and tries to pull Nate into a clinch. Campbell advances behind his guard, letting Garcia throw all the punches until he gets inside. More tying up. Garcia throwing rights, Nate blocking. Garcia hooks to the body. Slapping flurry by Garcia to either side of the head. Nate eats a pair of jabs while trying to move his head with his hands down. Three punch combo by Garcia, blocked. Clinch. Nate working his left on the inside, just brushing Danny's face with it. Big 1-2 loaded up by Campbell but Garcia ducks off to the side. They stand to to toe after the bell and talk massive **** to each other.

Being 39 is significant in the lighter divisions (remember, Nate campaigned even lower than 140 for most of his career. He's essentially a blown up super featherweight...it just got harder and harder to drain down and make it after a while).
