They just confirmed Felix Sturm vs. Matthew Macklin. The broadcast is now over. There's barely been any boxing shown for the last hour. Since Gevor was ejected, they've talked, gone to commercial, talked more, shown a round and a half of Culcay-Kutsishvili (instead of the the full two and a half rounds, for some reason), talked about the DQ some more, and previewed some upcoming German fights. They sure know how to kill some time! (without offering any undercard action..)
The riot tonight wasn't half as good though. It was basically only Gevor raging all over the place and being a ****.
Bad quality. but better than nothing: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09E2njK5FOU[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYo3dHtfMlI[/ame]
Weaker than Sartison? Stieglitz would give anyone a good fight, not winning though. He has a chance against Abraham. That´s a step too far, IB. Great! Ring number 1 fights the number 5. Could end up beeing a good fight too. Sturm´s best opponent in a while. Wonder if his "fighting to the level of his opponent" continues or if he get´s motivated enough to pull a performance like against Sylvester out of the hat.
It was. I regret having made it since sleeping on it. Flagrant disregard for sportsmanship and selfish acts that insult the sweet science just really stir up something ugly in me. I still haven't forgiven Abraham or Bika for committing just one of the offenses Gevor was guilty of last night (incl. intentional headbutting, excessive holding, hitting on the break, pushing to the ground and hitting while down, one or two low blows, etc.) - not to mention the despicable cowardly act of attacking an elderly official for performing his job as he saw fit. He's like Bika & Abraham, Judah, Bobby Pacquiao and Fritzie Zivic all rolled into one. Let's just amend that to: I hope he gets the mental help he clearly needs, and is never licensed to earn a living as a pro boxer anywhere ever again. :good
