    Round 1

Cotto lands a hard left hook and stuns Malignaggi!! Cotto is driving forward throwing high jabs and right hands. Malignaggi moves across the ring and flurries only when ricocheting off the ropes. Cotto is blocking Malignaggi's jabs on his forearms, and coming forward swinging hooks. Cotto jabs to the body. Malignaggi tries to flurry down the middle but Cotto trades with him. Triple jab from Malignaggi while gliding off to the left but doesn't land them.

    10-9 Cotto

    10-9 Cotto

He looks so focused in there, not wasting too much and getting some hard hits in. Lets see if he can keep it up.

10-9 Cotto. He had a great first two mintes hitting Paulie with a couple of nice left hooks that surprised him. Caught his attention.

Damn cotto almost got him. :)

1 - 0 Cotto, Paulie is shoe shining, Cotto is going inside at well and landing the harder more effective shots.

Seems I'm right. Cotto isn't a bad fighter either (Hardly world-class though).

    Round 2

Jose is diving down and drilling rights to the body of Malignaggi while coming forward. Malignaggi is getting jabbed in the face and his footwork seems a bit wild. Malignaggi jabs while sliding back. Cotto trying to cut the ring off but Malignaggi moving quickly, pot shotting. Kenny Bayless warns them both to watch the heads. Malignaggi throws a lot of flurries, blocked high but connecting low. Cotto lunges in and lands a jab but Malignaggi clowns, and slips some more Cotto lefts while backing up. Cotto gets a right in at the end.

    19-19

first time iv agreed with Jim Watt in a long time. why hasnt Malignaggi tried to fight down at lightweight. surely moving up to welter is even worse with his non existent punching power

Better round for Paulie. Nicely sticking and moving using his jab. 19-19.

Paulie outworked Cotto but was caught by some good shots but still did enough to win the round..
