    Paulie moved up from light welterweight to take on 2 blown up lightweights. He has no future at 147 as a major player.

    1 -1 even, Malinaggi had some nice flurries but was caught and hurt by the heavier handed Cotto. I'll give the hand to Paulie though because he made the round his for the majority of the round.

    Round 3

    Malignaggi staggered again by a left hook! Cotto comes forward and absorbs several jabs on the forearms. Malignaggi does a chicken dance!!! Time out called by Bayless. Apparently his shoe was coming off. :blood

    Malignaggi now throws a bunch of soft flurries, clapping down on Cotto's guard. Cotto blocking most of everything, but not getting in range to land himself. Malignaggi jabs and circles left. Bayless orders a break and warns Malignaggi for continuing to punch. Cotto ducks a Malignaggi 1-2. Left hook to the jaw by Cotto. Malignaggi jabs, then clinches. Cotto feints with his jab and then throws a hard right to the body. Malignaggi clinches. Ugly ending of the round.

    He complained about draining and making weight for 140. But that makes much more sense if he could make that weight.
