i understand the game plan was to weather the storm and then pounce on guerrero when the chance came, but u just cannot eat that punishment fight after fight and expect it to happen. there were 2 major titles on the line and u have to get in there and show your authority. u just never know if u will get another chance to fight for them.

if u r going to forego any defence, u must at least throw plenty of shots to help support your cause in the meantime.

if u want to fight that way go and watch how jeff fenech did it.

otherwise get a new trainer IMMEDIATELY.

Yep 100% correct, not only that but when u take that much punishment early in the fight and constantly, your power is also deminished.

He's got no angles or head movement, you can't expect to just win by just coming forward and wearing punches expecting to land some lucky punch, there's no strategy, nothing has changed in he's last few fights, get rid of Brendan and start fresh or dont fight top level guys

I think Smith is great as a fitness coach & gets Katsidis in tremendous shape, but it would really benefit Katsidis with some more strategy being applied from his corner.
I would keep Smith in a assistant trainer role.

i agree.very bad match up but katsidis dosent dodge anyone.
i didnt know guerrero was a south paw he had to much reach and kept katsidis at bay with his jap.
new trainer would be good for some fresh ideas but dont see it happening kats seems to loyal to him.
big fights have been there for the taking but poor old mick just couldnt get the wins.a cupple more moderate fight before one more big one (title fight) and win.then hang em up and retire as the champ that he is.
