Hes a helluva lot better than Nelson,McGuigan,McCrory,McAuley and McKenzie, who spout cliche after cliche. Hes also a better judge than them
Former world champion Jim Watt called the Valouev/Haye fight correct! He said that Haye can't win the fight without throwing punches, he had the fight for Valouev. Haye did nothing but run...............
I like Jim Watt, he says it as he sees it and has the humility to stand corrected when he gets something wrong...:yep His scoring is very good and he is part of the mix of a variety of pundits who all offer different views and opinions in many different ways...:yep I think that Jamie Moore has bright future as a Boxing pundit...:good
Watt's scoring can be erratic, but I like him in general. He gets licked on one track too often rather than balancing his analysis. But. Wry few guys do that. The showtime team being a good example.
I like Jim Watt but not as a commentator. Everything he says is in a negative way and he just drones on and on. "I don't see what Malignaggi can do at welterweight." 2 minutes later... "I don't see much of a future for him at welter". "He wasn't that good at light welterweight, I don't see him doing anything at welter."
I dont mind Jim Watt,he knows his stuff and most of the time is a pretty good judge of fights. He can come across as negative sometimes but there are far worse commentators out there.
For all the people that moan about him, who do you actually think does a better job? There are very very few. He's the best of the Sky team by a mile, which isn't saying much, but still. Unless you have a great alternative stop moaning. It's mostly just his accents that is a bit whiney and makes him seem very negative, if he was a Geordie you'd probably think he was the most optimistic guy in the world! He analyzes fights well.
I was wrong about Guerrero, Eskimo. Sorry. I don't think he'll deal well with someone who can keep the pressure on. Katsidis seemed tentative to try ad get round The Ghosts shots and land counters, just scruffily bombed away in close and took sharp one-twos all night.
