Does Morales's display vs Maidana change your view of Pacquiao-Morales II and III?

GREEN? SERIOUSLY? A 43 fight fighter who is already a 3 weight champion and has beaten numerous world class opponents? GET THE **** out of here.

Morales vs pacman was indeed a great performance and he way past prime. Then he lost badly to Zaheer Raheem and practically had to drain all fluid from his body in his return bouts against pacman. He was shot against pacman 2 and 3 (especially 3). he was shot against Diaz (which he won) and maidana.

 

The rematch was clearly legitimate and arguably pac's greatest victory.

The rubber, considering everything i'd say it's a good win but not great. Miles ahead of a victory over margo or mosley but not on the level of his others.

I think we should see em vs jmm now.

I thought a draw was fair and it's a shame the judges weren't watching the fight. Great performance from a 1 eyed man. I hope now people stop banging on about maidana's power.

 

well, it does put pac's victories especially the rematch (2nd fight) in a better light than previously thought of by others here...

 

I would see Pacquiao stopping him, getting the TKO. Pacquiao has gotten so much stronger since back then, so I wouldnt see Morales being able to take quite that amount of punishment. Maidana managed to get alot of attacks in but he is wreckless and wild, while Pacquiao, although could be attributed the same, is a major improvment over Maidana.

Pacquiao 6 round TKO.

But then again, it's Morales, who the **** knows?

 

because pac already beat the ****ing daylight out of him, the 3rd fight took almost all of what morales left.

 

Pac-Morales IV? Pac would get him out of there in a round or two now, as he would Maidana. My god, Pac would Hattonize Maidana.

 

I've never watched this fight until now, he looks ****ing terrible.

 

lol segurat KO pac with in 3 so does that mean segurat>morales. Yeah and pac was also a legit and lenial champion back then.

 

Thing with Pacman he's a true A level fighter (like Morales was) where Maidana is a top contender. Morales is good enough to compete on this level (because he is a warrior and a G) but he could never reach the heights of his prime years.

And he was 12 rounds all action fighter, he doesn't fight in spurts, you never saw glimmers of brilliance he was brilliant throughout the 12 rounds.

Morales can never compete against the upper echelon of todays fighters but he'd die trying.

Just to put the fight into perspective. Great performance on the night which enhances Morales as a fighter but doesn't change my view on past fights.

He was shot, get over it and stop having an agenda. Pacman is a great fighter and he's resume doesn't need manipulating.

Morales looked really shot last night. His legs and balance werent there, he was trying so hard to conserve his energy. However his skills was just leagues above Maidana and that made it a very close fight. If Morales had anywhere near the same athleticsm and stamina as he had for Pac-Morales 2, he would have stopped Maidana last night, easy. People forget how good Morales looked against pac before getting stopped in the 2nd fight, it was a war.

Last night consisted of Morales making Maidana miss for the first half of the fight, and then Morales clocking Maidana clean in spurts.

 

Not at all. Unlike others here, I wasn't buying that Morales was going to be destroyed by Maidana. Styles make fights. Morales is warrior and a great boxer and Maidana is solid at best. Morales will ALWAYS be a threat. This in no way however implies that he fought Manny at or near his peak.

 

Gatti/Ward were B/C level fighters throughout their careers and there career shows that. Consistently performing at that level.

Like Corrales/Castillo were shot after their encounters. Even though they fought twice, your logic is flawed.
