Calzaghe never had a true letdown performance in his entire career. Nunn may have been more talented, but talent without an epic work ethic doesn't beat someone like Calzaghe. Nunn had several off nights where he was beaten by less capable fighters than Calzaghe. JC always somehow found a way to win, Nunn didn't. 80:20 in favor of Calzaghe. The only SMW who clearly beats JC is Roy Jones, superhuman talent plus great work ethic.

Nunn would beat the hell out of JC.

Nunn took Kalambay out in 1 round!

Nunn Took Roldan out in 8-Took Tate out in 9.

Nunn is 6'2 and he was faster then JC with also a longer reach-JCs style will not work against Nunn.

Sumbu Kalambay in my opinon was better then JC and before he got startched you could see he was having problems with Nunns height and reach.

nice smileys......I've watched quite a few fights actually, calzaghe is volume punching, wouldnt work on a rangier fighter thats as fast as him, Nunn decision.

Calzaghe would've beaten Nunn at 168 no doubt but if they happened to face at 160, Prime Nunn would be too much for him. Calzaghe never beat anyone at MW/SMW that was on a prime Nunn's level or had his style. He would look foolish at 160 against Nunn but beat the past prime one at 168. I'm just not impressed by Calzaghe and wish he challenged himself more.

Michael Nunn was like a poor man's Zab superjudah with OCD.

Calzaghe beats any version of Nunn, Prime, middle, 168, Blue...

Talent means **** all in any walk of life unless you have the work ethic to back it up. Something internet based miscreants will never understand, thankfully.

Can we get some more specifics.

Would this be staged at the Cardiff ice rink?

    If not, Nunn by UD.

    at Nunn beating nobody.

Sumbu Kalambay was a real bum. He only beat scrubs like Herol Graham, Iran Barkley, and Mike McCallum.

That said, Nunn wasn't the same fighter at 168 that he was at 160. Nunn at 160 still struggled in fights that he shouldn't have though. He was extremely talented, but hot-and-cold. He had lapses in concentration that cost him in fights.

    Calzaghe by decision.

Here's an example of how gifted Nunn was, and to give you an idea of how much talent he wasted.

Another pile on Calzaghe thread. The posters who are certain how easily Nunn would win are so predictable and quite frankly delusional.

Well a bigger muppett would be someone who cant see the obvious form line, not once but 3 times and thinks a fighter like Calzaghe would lose to a 21-13-2 S Little. To think that, takes a real twat :patsch:lol:
