Kirkland got up both times before immediately. Fighting a guy with 6 kO's not even to let the fighter get up to assess his condition ? Beyond that to put your knee on is chest as the fighter is getting up. There was a no 3 knockdown rule for a reason. Joe Cortez continues to take his control in the ring way too far. He needs to be out of boxing asap and should have been 6 years ago.
Well, for starters the first two knockdowns were mere slips and James was never fazed by the feather fisted Jet Li. Secondly, the third knockdown was more James being off balance and his feet getting tangled with the Jap's. Lastly, cancer patient looking Cortes held James down and called it off prematurely. It was evident he was getting up. James was NOT hurt in any shape or fashion. If I was James' management team I would pursue a lawsuit.
Wow, a lot of hurt butts in this thread. Kirkland got exposed as having the worst chin in the game - let it go
youre crazy. he was not slipping. he was going down in the proverbial heap. the second and third knockdowns were very strange and he looked seriously hurt. he was all over the place. what makes it even worse is that the chinaman wasnt even connecting with powerful punches. something must have been wrong with him. no referee in his right mind would have let that fight continue.
....Not only that but Kirklands trainer covered his whole body in Vasaline while 2 other people in his entourage gave him a leg message. While all this was going on and person from Ishidas locker room slipped some DRUGS in Kirklands water bottle and whipped grease on Kirklands shoes so that he would easily slip once he got in the ring.
Watch again, mr expert. He was CLEARLY HURT after the first knockdown. The shot was RIGHT ON THE CHIN and Kirkland was WOBBLED. Please stop with this bull****, fellas.
Didn't know Jap was a derogatory term just was using it as short for "Japanese" pearl harbor was a long time ago
