Im not paying for it just cos team Khan want it to be PPV. Had it been on SS1 id have watched it, but if not they can **** off.
If team Khan had got their way we would probably have Khan v Witter on ppv. They are a joke and fair play to Sky for calling them out on their **** card. I will buy this for one reason only - Paul McCloskey. But I will never again buy a Khan ppv.
:deal Major show on Sky Sports 3 where they would get at least 250,000 viewers minimum who all watch for free or a maximum of 75,000 if they are lucky, forcing people to give out their hard earned cash. No way in hell that I am forking out for a shitly produced, crap card.
I'll watch it is it's on a channel I've got, or on somewhere walk/staggerable from my house. I pay enough for sports tv as it is, if they want extra for it **** off it's not even a particularily good fight.
IMO, this fight did not warrant a ppv. But it's good enough for sky to throw there weight behind it and lush ****ing sailing or whatever out of the way to show it. Big fail by sky. But I don't know the details of exactly what happened. (this is the bit where rob gives us the inside track)
The whole thing has been a PR nightmare and if only 50 odd people bought the ill faited SBO PPV, I don't see many more paying up for primetime PPV (if they show it). It's basically a **** card not worthy of PPV, and as they say on Dragons Den...I'm Out !!
I didn't pay for the ***an fight either Some fighters earned the right to be ppv, khan still hasn't IMO
trotter, what does he need to do to 'earn the right'? Because, if I remember it, Khan saved Sky's reputation after that farce of a fight which was Haye/Harrison. He puts on a FOTY for them and he was then expected to unify the division in summer but before that wanted a fight back in England and on the last week of the fight, they kick his fight off SBO? If he beats Bradley, then has he still not earned the right? Who does he have to face then? Pacquiao? Klitschko? I can understand the circumstances because there's big things going on that weekend, but still, a ***** move by Sky to do it a week before the fight.
The widely touted number for the first one he did against Precott was 30,000. I guess some of the ones for the WBA title would have got a bit more. According to this article even Hatton/Pacquaio only got 300,000 so I struggle to imagine Khan getting any spectacualr buyrates considering who he's fought. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ot...defence-Paul-McCloskey.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
