Sky turns down Klitschko-Haye for Khan - then turns down Khan? What's going on?

    So what's the story here dear British posters? Klitschko-Haye was a no-go for Sky Sports PPV in April because of a then-unknown Khan defense took the spot, but now Sky backs out of the Khan-McCloskey card - how is that even possible under signed contracts?

    Can anyone explain in details what is going on?

    They turned it down cuz Tyson fury was off the card and now no one will buy the PPV :(

    Apparently the bouts that they wanted to pack the card with and make it attractive/sellable, havn't come off.

    these networks kill me... they dont like the undercards so they deprive us of all fights...

    I know most of us as hard core boxing fans love the undercards... but for most people... its all about the "main event"... to not show a main event because the undercard is not what they wanted is a joke

    Yeah but they expect people to pay 20 euro approx for a PPV

    3 big fights...


    2 got cancelled

    they said they will put it on regular Sky subscription TV

    Khan said no and went to prime time

    Khan wants extra PPV dollars no matter what

    Most undercards are outright horrendous, unfortunately.

    The last HBO card was dope all around, I loved it.

    I didnt know that...... now I kinda blame Khan.... based on the Thread, I thought they just cancelled showing his fight.

    yep pure greed Khans used to seeing millions for every fight and against some unworthy opponents at that

    hes well overpaid and is happy to hold his countrymen to ransom each and every time

    The brothers have never really liked PPV... yes they could make more... but in there words "we are making enough, we want our fans and boxing fans to see our fights"

    Like last night... I wanted to see Adamak.... but sorry, im not spending $30.00 to see that fight..... I wish more top guys would stop with the PPV

    They didn't turn down Klitschko/Haye, it was simply a matter of Khan being given the slot first.

    As for Khan/McCloskey, that was down to guys pulling out. Sky can't show a card which has had so many cancellations. Then it got pushed to Sky Sports 3 but then Khan's team decided to be greedy. Nothing to do with Sky.
