What's the deal with the camera situation? Like who'll be supplying the cameras and sound equipment? Have Primetime ever put on a show before? I always thought they just took Showtime's pictures or something.

I agree with that and to be honest I dont know why Sky didnt put there footdown and basically have more of a say on who Khan will be fighting.

I guess Sky would of been happy to see Khan produce the same numbers as before but obviously they didnt look likely with a week to go.

This seems to be a shambles from everyone involved.

Team Khan > obviously though Khan was a superstar who could sell PPVs against any Tom, Dick and Harry. Appears sky arent convinced he can sell a PPV on his own. Khan should have taken the SS3 offer and wrote it off as a bad job, concentrated on doing a good job on McCloskey and then he would have a big fight to promote against Bradley.

Sky > shouldnt have said they were doing a Khan PPV before they had an opponent lined up, should have made it clear they wanted a good undercard. Now theyve took a stand theyll have to back it up next time Hayemaker/Warren etc want a **** card on PPV otherwise theyll look like mugs. And to think we nearly never got Haye/Klit because of this farce.

Its high time they sorted this **** out, Sky need to force their boxers into big fights if they want PPV. The boxers need to get on with their job and leave the tv negotiating to their promoters. If their promoters atre doing a **** job then its time for a change

    No they did not.

SKY set aside the date, subject to the opponent being of an acceptable level and were involved in the selection process.

The conditions of Khan Mccloskey were that the undercard would have to be strong, which is part of the reasons Khan promotions brought in Hatton promotions as a means to try to make sure this part of the agreement was acceptable, given that they had little to no experience in constructing an event.

Khan promotions failed to deliver what was agreed. As such, a new offer was made for it to be on SS1/2/3

The Haye vs Klitschko negotiations stalled because Sky apparently only do one PPV per month and that was booked for Khan vs TBA, at the time, and then turned out to be McCloskey. So, I could have been watching a much bigger fight this month that I would have happily shelled out £15 for.

Khan vs McCloskey is not PPV and none of the fights that have been mooted on the undercard helped its cause.

Out of interest anyone know the average or highest PPV figures for PrimetimeTV? I presume they are alot less than Sky's.

Sky have seen sense in a bad situation though they took long enough to reach a decision. While I wish Primetime success given that it was they that backed Carl Froch rather than Sky, I also hope this fight doesn't do well as it will be a lesson to Team Khan.

No we didn't. Haye/Sky didn't want it on April 30th because of the royal wedding. Sky have been quote a number of times dismissing that story, including in the boxing news.

Sky would love to have froch. I think the problem there is the promoter Froch has.

Every bar in Ireland will be showing this fight. The pay-per-view taking will be fine. Glad to see its still on.

yeah but if Khan wasnt on just before then it would have opened up a bigger time slot for the negotiations. At the end of the day the fights made so it doesnt matter now

The most shocking thing is Sky saying no to Khan - Bradley. What are they thinking?
