I'm no fan of the bookies but that was some well deserved money.

    Bet on hope not misfortune.

    I'd never bet on either.

Well actually the McCloskey bet is as hopeful as I dare.

Been on a decent enough run since I bombed out on Sinclair in Prizefighter.

    I doubt that very much.

I would be severely dubious of Wladimir Kitschko getting the physique he has simply by jogging and hitting a punch bag!

Looks like Khan v McCloskey is on prime time,

I am starting to despise the whole Khan team, they are a disgrace to boxing an i hope to **** Paul knock's him clean out.

But i suppose it is nothing new and team Khan is so far up there own hole with there delusions of self importance and grandure since 2005 as the link shows

wonder if primetime will also show Berto-Ortiz from the States? Ill be buying it no matter what but would be a lot happier if they showed that too. This whole build up has been a joke, good thing Dudeys hidden away from it and Khans stuck in the middle

14.95 sterling and an additional fee for first-time subscribers. Ouch, this fight is going to suffer. First Paul was snubbed here by RTE and the rest, now this.

Does that mean it will be on Setanta also?
Can we watch this in Ireland?

****ed if im getting it in. Absolute disgrace that the likes of RTE or the BBC wont get behind it and show the fight. Its not everyday that we get Ireland V England for a world title.

Not even that RTE could show it with Sky on board all along, was never going to happen, but he expected to be welcomed onto the Late Late or Brendan O'Connor, even had to approach them (or get a guy in RTE to try persuade them.) Never happened, and yet if he wins the title they'll be begging him on the couch. Hopefully he means when he says he's gonna tell them to **** off.

No that's Premier Sports who are aligned with Setanta. Primetime is a seperate thing, channel 480 and if you haven't got it before, it's 2.50 on top of the 15 for the fight.

Just off the phone in the conference call with Amir, Asif and Primetime.

Details of the £14.95 offering are here - http://boxing-ireland.com/20110411_khan_mccloskey_primetime_31.html

But also the things to note are that Primetime will be using their own (probably sub-contracted) OB unit and providing HBO with pictures for their show.

Also confirmed is that Khan will be in the ring for 10pm

I approached the Brendan O'Connor Show on behalf of Team McCloskey offering them Dudey but was told that they had too much boxing on it already - Kenny Egan and Casey.
