Victor will look like a monster at Welterweight.
I hope they show day of weights, I'm interested in this stat.

What does Berto usually weigh on fight night? Anyone know.

I don't know but I'm curious now. He turned pro well above welterweight. Something like 160. Which is hard to believe.

Berto will excel in this fight, and bully ortiz against the ropes grinding out a stoppage sometime around the th round.

    Southpaw killer.

I think Berto is going to shatter Ortiz fragile Glass Jaw. Then I expect Ortiz to be in another title fight 9 months later.:rofl:patsch

I was always in disbelief how Ortiz could compact himself to Jr. Welterweight...
Without making excuses for him, there is no doubt the drain effected him somewhat.

That said, I expect to see the best Ortiz we have seen thus far.
Bar getting caught cold by Berto.. I see Vic bringing & giving Berto more than enough.

I don't see why anyone would greatly favor Ortiz here. Must be Berto hate or something.

I mean, if anyone should be the favorite here it's Berto or maybe it should be classified as a toss up at best... but favoring Ortiz by a wide margin?? Naww, I don't see it.

Could be. Both guys carry good pop in their gloves and neither one is known for having the greatest whiskers.... then again, both guys also tend to get over aggressive and fall into lots of clinches ...so it could very well be an exciting, yet ugly fight.

I think we might eventually see ortiz at 154, he is build for that division, if he is able to beat berto he is right back on track to fullfill his potential, khan will eventually fight at 147 and there is alvarez at 154.

I agree, the weight must have affected him but to imply he should win now that he has this sorted is naive as he has never had the mental strength at the top level and i expect berto to test his heart and make that puto feel sorry for himself again.:yep

Very possible. Not to mention its a bad month for prospects and a great month for Mexicans. Ortiz does have some Mexican in him so its possible. Haha

I think its 50-50. Whoever shows up with the best game plan and in better condition.

Berto is not bigger. For his WW fights Berto normally comes in at 152 range.
Ortiz for his LWW fights he comes in usually 156 or above.

Ortiz is naturally the bigger guy. With the added weight im sure Ortiz will come in even bigger. Who knows maybe Ortiz chin will improve with that added weight. It usually happens kind of like Khan.

Also Berto will be faster but not by much. Ortiz is quick himself. Also dont forget Ortiz can drop you with either hand. Those right hooks are money along with that straight left.

  14. I think Berto is gonna KO Ortiz. Ortiz will get discouraged early on, Berto will finish him off or make him quit between rounds.

I look at opposition and think that victor has faced the better fighters. Plus before the marcos fight he was a beast. I think we will see a pre macros ortiz on sat, and berto is in alot of trouble. you can take that to the bank.
