Ward - Abraham is a fantasy come true for you? :rofl

The fact that you wrote "King Arthur" without quote marks indicates that you've surpassed the nut-hugging stage and delved into full-blown nut-licking.

Was there a breakout from a mental institute in May 2010? :nut

    NO.

It should have been a single elimnation tourney. The people I think that are still into it are Euro fight fans.

It's been a great success as far as boxing fans are concerned. We've had some top fights made.

    Ward - Kessler
    Kessler - Froch

2 top fights! Clearly, without this tournament, Kessler would have stayed retired and we would have had no top fights at all.

The tournament has been a tremendous success for boxing .You'd never have seen all these top SMWs fighting each other one after the other without it. Was the round robin idea flawed? Yes, of course: much too long, invites drop outs, etc. But overall, Showtime needs to get major appreciation. The Bantamweight tourney is great too.

The tournament was going down the drain before Showtime signed Bute. Too much withdrawals. Nine people have fought in it (even if Bika was not part of it, fans consider him as being part of the tournament). With Bute or Kessler fighting the champion of the super 6, the legitimacy will be there.

If Bute would have stayed out of it, the result of the tournament would not have been tremendous but of course, the fights that it gave us would still been there.

    I think so.

    Here is why:

    1. It helped Showtime cement itself as a boxing network at a time when HBO was hogging the big fights.

    2. It produced some great fights.

    3. It brought attention to a weight class that wasn't getting much attention.

    4. Its going to produce a unified champion when the S6 Winner faces the Bute/Kessler winner.

All of those things are good for boxing, so yes. It was a huge success.

It helped establish the fact that SOB Ward has to have "all" his fights in his home town, with his personal referee and judges, or he will not fight in it. SOB uses his best punch, headbutt from across the ring, with his personal referee making it legal! So, should "all" boxers get to use their heads also? Should all boxers get all their fights in their home towns, with their personal referees and judges? How can it be done for "all" boxers, and how did Ward get this agreement? This is a disgrace! It's a scandal!

If the Semi and Finals come off as expected and Kessler-Bute fight with both winners meeting, culminating in a truly Undisputed SMW Champion, it can be classified as Epic.
