I'm not discounting an upset . . . I just consider that a long shot.

Goral is Highlander if you're using textbook definition or Google Translate. It more so means that "on jes z gor" or hes from the mountains in the literal sense.

I don't know what one of the previous posters was talking about that Zywiec or Gilowice isn't in or near the mountains. It is in the mountains.

How do I know? My entire family is from Poland..

You Smoked to much crack over the weekend buddy:nut Adamek might win a couple rounds early but Vitalis natural size is too much here and im not convinced about Adameks supposedly tough chin at HW... I could see a some smaller HW from the past pulling this out but im talking about the Alis,Holyfield,Holmes and Tyson type of fighters... Adamek doesnt fit that mold... Vitali ko 8 or 9 rounds.

    Chances are slim to none.

Too bad he couldnt have got a title shot when the likes of Brewster,Ruiz,Byrd...etc were playing musical chairs with the titles. At least with those guys he wouldnt have to overcome such a size disparity but he is stuck having to face 1 of 2 giants who are skilled.

I cant see Adamek beating a prime Byrd... I say he has the skills to outbox Brewster but Lamon could really punch id say its a pickem... Dont think Adamek could beat the Ruiz who fought Holy 3 times but he beats the faded older version.

I respect adamek he is earning a titleshot the old fashion way, if he was way faster then vitali I could see him winning but even this past prime vitali seems to be equal in speed, at least its not that difference, then his size and style will give adamek trouble, vitali winning seems the most logcial outcome.

This is an excellent point. Ask all those guys that you mentioned if Adamek has no power. But even you said, "Adamek may not win, but he will put up a fight as always." It's amazing how so many people give this man no chance. Even those that believe in his ability...

There is a very simple physiological explanation for this. In asking Adamek to fight guys who are so much taller than him, he has to reach and at times lunge quite a bit if he wants to land from a "safer" distance. This reaching will, inevitably, compromise your balance and you will be liable to tripping. Your power output is also compromised when reaching, which a lot of people here seem to confuse for Adamek being feather fisted.

But the only other alternative would be to fight from the inside, which is very risky considering the usual disparity of strength between Adamek and his HW opponents and also very unnecessary, considering Adamek has the speed advantage (both foot and hand), which can only be fully utilized when fighting mobile and at semi distance. I think Adamek has done a good job of adapting his style to suit this division. Adaptability is one of Adamek's greatest strengths.
