nor do we have to worry about you Mr 60 min man , i bet you have never had a boxing fight in your life Brua:rofl
Very rarely do I post in these threads, because they **** me to tears... but do you really believe that? If there isn't a rematch, Garth is fighting someone at the Rooty Hill RSL for a few grand. This would be like ****in Christmas to him. I'd be very surprised if he gets a half of what he's making out of these fights, ever again.
trash talk guys there you made me ask again if it doesn't happen now you will both be in bed by 8 without desseert
Ah, someone's starting to crumble :yep Here it comes, the 'I bet you've never stepepd in a ring in your life' talk...what, pray tell, moved you to start with that talk TitCunt? Geez, you're like a chocolate teapot, melting under the slightest pressure - no wonder you never made the step up to the pro ranks You like dishing out **** but you most certainly can't take it back
Wood made his own luck by winning a competition, the prize of which was to be matched against Mundine - simple as that. Khoder made it very difficult for him to even collect his 'prize', to the point where he told them it was off, and then changed the weight. Wood again made his own luck by KOing Mundine. Do you think Mundine would have fought Wood again if Wood hadn't beaten him? As if Khoder of all people is owed anything by Wood's mob - let alone high 5's at the weighin as suggested by Ash! (you are usually the most on the ball poster here Ippy - but you got this one wrong - Wood has made all his luck)
I see it both ways mate, something I'm not sure you do with threads containing Mundine and Co. Yeah he won "the right" to fight him, but contracts in Boxing aren't worth the paper they're written on. I'm actually surprised Khoder and Co didn't give him his step aside money and move on. I'm sure Garth will be fighting at Middleweight from now on, it's his best weight to make some noise. I doubt Anthony would fight him again if he won, but he could've gone back to 154lbs and carried on. I'm actually surprised he didn't. Garth certainly made his own luck, not denying that. But he'll never see another pay day like this again. Good on him for getting it, but it takes two to tango.
Video of the weigh in is up now http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/spo...parated-at-heated-weighin-20110412-1dc0g.html
Happy to split the chips with you Ippy. But will add: BOXA certainly would have been better off in hindsight paying Wood step-aside money. But they've still got two 'paying' fights out of it none the less. I think Wood's mob have found middleweight is Garth's best weight by accident basically because Khoder pushed them there. You and I both know Ash did the BOXA 'thing' to death here for years - I've just pushed back in the other direction. Maybe I'm as silly as he is?
Quite possibly mate! I'm happy to split the chips too. I just think Garth has landed on his feet, that's all. But yes, he made his luck and good on him. I just don't think he'd see this kind of dough again.
I think Woods has got under Mundines skin. I think Mundine is genuinely angry this time. P.S I loved Mundines "To the masses" comment.............. he's a ****'n dumb **** atsch
I agree, he was acting like a schoolkid, repeating everything Wood said back at him. Wood maintained his composure, he actually has a very calm and soothing way of speaking, makes you listen, whereas Mundine just blethers on like the idiot he is. What was all that crap at the end "I fear God, I fear God Baz" And that goofy-looking **** in Mundine's mob calling Baz a 'c-racker' :-(
Whoever the ref is for this fight they should pay the poor bloke double, he is going to have his work cut out for him tommorow night lol
ANTHONY MUNDINE 1.60 GARTH WOOD 2.25 The bookies must know something we dont. Fenech pulled 150k from the bookies the last fight and Wood knocked him out yet Mundine is still the favourite?
