It seems like Cotto handled getting buzzed a few times fairly well. I expected Zab to put him down since he is much quicker than Torres was. Do you think Floyd could fight at this pace and put him down and out? Doesn't seem like too good of a idea to let Miguel back in the fight :smoke

I'm a big Cotto fan but yes Mayweather can. Mayweather is too good for Cotto. Plus Cotto is really a one handed fighter and the majority of his offense comes from his left hand and Mayweather will neutralize that like he did against Delahoya.

Wounded how ??? Like with a crossbow or a horrible machete accident ??? Cause I know you aren't suggesting that Floyd could really hurt Cotto !!!

The question isn't whether Floyd can outbox Cotto for 12 rounds. It's whether he can finish off Cotto if he hurts him.. I'd say no.. Not only because of Floyd's lack of power, but Cotto is a damn warrior. How many times have we seen him hurt and he comes back and wins the fight? If Cotto can survive the sledgehammers that Ricardo Torres threw at him, he can survive Floyd's pillow-punches.. PBF is not a great finisher by any means.. he does just enough to win..

I don't think PBF would wound him in the first place, if he does then yes he will get the finish...but I don't see that happening.

Floyd has very little power. Even if he did have power, he fights way to defensively to ever sit down on his punches and hurt someone. Usually too busy planning which way he is going to run after he throws a job.

I actualy think that if Floyd managed to hurt Cotto, it would be a bad thing for him. This is the one position in which Floyd would HAVE to start throwing punches with authority, and we have seen Cotto unleash hell while stunned before.

Cotto has shows some excellent recoup skills. Either way, it's moot, as Floyd would fight SAFE as usual and not risk anything.

I thought maywather hurt DLH a few times i dont see why he cant hurt cotto.

cotto is not a one handed fighter he does well with both hands and is actually very un orthodox.

miguel cotto is an olympic boxer, remember that. there is a reason why he hasnt been outboxed yet in his career. he is not all power but he is smart and adapts. he also uses feints very very well. another thing, his defense is getting a bit better and hes learning how to move his head a little more when hurt thus not going down against zab.

Mayweather will never fight him so it's a pointless question.

Bob Arum is 100% sure Floyd will never fight Cotto the main reason is not money is because he will be forced to fight 36 minutes, Cotto is a predator in the ring very underrated as a boxer but the truth is he never throws a bad punch, great crowd pleaser I pay to see him anytime.
