If they connected while Foreman was that tired and that horribly unbalanced, absolutely. Foreman didn't look hurt at all to me, just very sloppy and unbalanced.

You're spewing the facts Tommygun. Any 200 plus pound man can knock out another man. History has shown that. Foreman was stopped by fatigue against Ali as much as any single punch and the Young knockdown was much the same. Jimmy Young had 11 stoppages in 50+ fights. ELEVEN. I don't know, but I'd be willing to bet more than half of those weren't out and out spark outs. It's very cool that a young guy such as yourself is in to Jimmy Young. But let's take him for what he was. He wasn't the second coming of Hatchetman Sheppard.

Are you trying to say his chin improved with age ?

And that because the 67 Ali would be beating him up worse than the 76 Ali did, Young would be more motivated ?

There's very little chance Young survives the distance with 67 Ali.

I think that Jimmy would have been cute enough to last the distance with a prime Muhammad, but any version of Ali from 1964-75 would have left no doubt on the judges cards that he'd beaten Young. Yes,even the '75 Ali. Manila made all the difference.

I'm going to have to go with Young here, I'd say, Tommy. Just like some fighters don't like guys that go to the body, and some fighters don't like guys that can move laterally with consistency, Ali didn't like guys who couldn't punch.

Ali wins, too fast with amazing stamina in his prime. Tommy, are all of your posts about Jimmy Young?

Jimmy Young had the capacity to trouble and even sneak a win over prime Ali..this fight could have gone either way. Young, as in this thread, gets criminally underrrated.

It would go the full 15 round route. Ali would be too fast for Jimmy in this scenario, and win a convincing decision.

A fat ,untrained ,complacent Ali ,did the same thing when they fought ,last time I looked, it was a unanimuous dec for Ali.
