    What ya think?
Ali during his career knocked out guys with weight about 190lbs. He had problems to knocked out guys with 210+lbs. Also some KOs were as Liston or Cooper (cuts, rtd or ... ;) ). 56 wins - 37 by ko

Adamek knocked out Maddalone (230) and Golota (250+) and other champs from cruiser like Bell. 44 wins - 28 by ko.

Also look at Ali's oponnents - they didn't have good defance, Ali could land clearly his punches.
Adamek has more problems (like McBride or Estrada)

I'll simply answer no. Adamek's got no power at HW. Ali's power is underrated.

Ali wasn't a big puncher, but I'm certain he punched a lot harder as Adamek does.

    Jesus ****ing wept.

Ali stopped guys like Foreman and Bonavena who had rock-solid chins, how can that seriously be compared to stopping Vinny ****ing Maddalone or Andrew Golota?

    Ridiculous.

It depends on whether you think prime Foreman or over the hill McBride is better. Personal opinion I guess.

Muhammed Ali's power underrated? I would actually say that it is overrated..
He needed almost 15 rounds to stop Bonavena, who would be by todays standards a very tiny HW, 11 to stop Lewis, 12 to stop Ellis etc.. If you look at Ali's record he had alot trouble stopping opponents who were 200+... not that Ali isnt great, but comparing him and Adameks punch power is actually fair IMO..

Well...compare stamina of Foreman in round 6 with McBride. I'm not talking about who was better. Everybody say that Adamek is feather fisted but in my opinion Ali had the same problem.

Also now people are talking that Klitschko will be too big and too strong for Adamek, also they talk the same before ALi-Liston.

James Toney weighed more than Ali and Adamek. His punching power was slightly less than Foreman's.

Just throw Adamek in there with Foreman... Not even a prime Foreman, bring Foreman now and see if he can stop him.

Here's the situation with Adamek. He doesn't have the natural size, athleticism, stamina, speed, and rhythmm that Ali had.

All he has is weight room size, and decent lateral mobility compared to the majority of CONTEMPORARY heavyweights.

His size is not why he's going to lose to the Klitschko's. It's because he's too easy to hit, he gasses early, and on top of that he doesn't have the threat of a solid punch.

He could theoretically use his lateral mobility to score a UD over Vitali who is older and slower, but he'll have to fight a perfect fight even at this stage in Vitali's career because Adamek seems like he fades.

And in regards to Ali, when Ali sat down on his punches, he could hit hard. He wasn't one of the greats, but it was hard enough where you had to respect his power.
