How much credit does he get if he puts in a comprehensive win, outboxing Groves and never losing a second of a round like in the Smith fight?

A lot. Groves is a good young prospect.

alot fancy it as a 50-50 fight so he should get alot of credit , i see him having a few moments where he has to weather a small storm but hell come through and look good doing it imo

That would be very impressive and would go some way to justifying the ridiculous hype he has already attained on the British Forum. Groves is a significantly better boxer than Smith.

cant see groves getting close to degale...........unless haye pings degale first.........

degale is too good in the pro's......

not much credit for beating groves really from my perspective, cos i dont rate him.

He's getting too much credit for beating Smith so maybe things will balance out?

If anything Groves has the boxing ability and DeGale has the power.

Considering most see this as a pick em fight id hazard a guess at a lot of credit

I dunno, I don't think most people see this as a pick 'em fight. Most people seem to be going to for Degale and most of the ones that are going for Groves are doing it just because they think Chunky is a ***** rather than boxing reasons.....;O)

the bookmakers dont see it as a pick em.

boxing fans seem to see it as a pick em. i think the majority of those people are people who really dislike degale and want groves to win so they are letting the build up **** cloud their judgement.

it will be very easy to look back on the performance and point to the kenny anderson fight as evidence that groves was overhyped.

incidentally i think groves is the overhyped fighter here, not degale

Do boxing fans see it as a pick em? What were the results of the last poll on here? I'm inclined to think a fairly big majority are picking DeGale.
