Will Froch be ruined after the Super 6?

Froch can he is a beast, his chin and stamina won't let him down for a good couple of years yet! dirrell fight was like a light spar for froch, i think he'll box johnson and not get involved too much like he did against abraham. ward will just try to hit and hold froch but it won't work.froch is too strong..froch will probly retire at 36,

If he beats just 3 of those names he should be in the HOF imo.

 

The only way Froch will be ruined is if a fighter 'ruins' him in a one-sided beat down. And there's not a guy at SMW that can do that. He's had the wars but he's not went down a tactics path ala Gatti. Ward may be his biggest challenge but in no way is that the foregone conclusion that many predict. I think Froch's performance against Abraham might, finally, set the tone for his remaining fights.

My only fear, which I don't think will be confirmed, is that Froch won't know when to quit. As many have said: Ward, Bute (possibly Kessler) and then Pascal would be a great way to bring down the curtain.

On a sidenote he takes Bute out inside the distance.

 

I'm not a pro boxer, but I suspect physical wear and tear is not the chief suspect behind the dreaded 'shot' status.
I think it is possibly more a mental condition, akin to depression in a normal persons life.
As long as a fighter has the motivation and potential reward to carry on - it is possible they could find a way to be able to.
This is rare unfortunately as a fighters career unless completely protected is insanely hard to begin with.

 

He's been taking big shots his entire career and put in a career best performance last time out. Unless something drastic happens, then I don't see him being 'ruined' after the Super Six at all.

 

I think the toughness will inevitably fade, he spoke of tiredness during the Kessler fight, first time he'd felt it

Actually, having said that, look at Johnson, tough as ever

Suppose it is in large part down to mindset

 

I think the tiredness was due to Froch screwing up his own training regime amongst other things in the lead up to the fight. His conditioning for the Abraham fight was reflected in his performance.

But most of it is down to mindset and lifestyle.

I don't think he's taken a disproportionate amount of punishment from his first 30 fights.

He hardly had to take anything in most of his early fights..... I'd say the most gruelling fights he's been in were against Magee, Kessler and Pascal, Reid landed a few big ones on him too.

Dirrell hardly hit him with anything, and Abraham hardly threw anything to hit him with. He came out of those two without a mark on him.

I can see him going on until he feels like packing in..... I don't see there being calls for him to give it up as there have been for other fighters, such as Hatton or Graham Earl, who both sound pretty punchy these days.
