Of course Negro, Latin and Asiatic people support their fighters more. When Caucasians supports a White fighter they get called "racist" and are otherwise guilted into turning on their own.

No, the Petersons got national exposure but no local building of their brand and name, such as what the Canadians did with Bute, Lemeiux, and Pascal.

True because if being Cocky and having a big mouth was all it took well then Adrian Broner would be the hottest prospect in boxing... Instead he was a dud and has alot to prove before the boxing public starts paying serious attention to him.

There is a difference between being a cocky douche outside the ring and a cocky douche inside the ring though.

Mayweather is all business in the ring.

I dont necessarily mean showboating, but getting your name out there yourself. Shouldnt be too hard to self promote.

Tim Bradley and Devon Alexander are two of the finest Black boxers today but I think their recent fight didn't get that much support from Black fans.

What's wrong with these boxers? Or what's wrong with the fans?

    Well it is the truth..

Many of them are into football, basketball.. things that they can do not many will lace up and the ones that do run run and run in the ring and hate getting hit. They don't invite fans with a friendly style ala broner, alexander, bradley, witht he exception being Kirkland now that is a ****ing man bad ass mofo...

Aside from Floyd Jr. and Mosley, who were the other active Black fighters with decent number of fans? Paul Williams?

Yup, maybe style has little something to do with it. Fans love punchers, warriors with big hearts and guts.

I'm a black guy so I can answer this question. Most blacks are into football & basketball. When it comes to boxing, they are more casual fans. They'll tune in when it's a "big" fight. Finding someone else I can actually talk boxing with & who knows the sport is extremely difficult which is why most of us are on this forum anyway.

Most blacks are bandwagon fans. You gotta become popular first & than people will catch on. It took Floyd years to develop a fanbase.

I guess alot of what I typed could apply to other races as well.

There have been plenty of slick boxers with large fan bases. Ali, Leonard, recently Floyd.

There is a difference in refined slickness ala Toney, Roy Jones jr, Pea and ****** ala Boner.

I think you need to be a very good slick black boxer in order to get full support from black fans.

Look at Jorge Arce, he's not that good and he's a small boxer but still got a decent Mexican fanbase.
