Lennox Lewis : Commonwealth superheavyweight gold medalist, Olympic superheavyweight gold medalist winning against Riddick Bowe, European HW champion, who holds pro wins over Tyrell Biggs, Donovan "Razor" Ruddock, Tony Tucker, Frank Bruno, Tommy Morrison, Ray Mercer, Henry Akinwade, Andrew Golota, Shannon Briggs, Zeljko Mavrovc, Evander Holyfield, Michael Grant, Francios Botha, David Tua, Mike Tyson and Vitali Klitschko + inductee in the hall of fame.

He may not have been the MOST exciting to watch and yes he had 2 losses that caused questions as to the solidity of his chin ,(of which i think was granite) ..But as a Heavyweight Championship Boxer ..he definately was ONE of the GREATEST OF ALL TIME !!!

Definately the best Heavyweight of the time, definately worthy of being in the Hall of Fame. He definately deserves a great reputation for all he accomplished, and I can't really think of any way he could have done better with the challengers available at the time.

And now cue yet another "Vitali would've beat Lennox in a rematch" arguments.

Lennox Lewis was a fantastic champion and did himself, the fans and his country proud.

Because people tend to define fighters from long ago by their most glorious moments, which are shown on TV, youtube etc. They tend to define more recent/current fighters by their worst moments. Lewis was KO'd twice, big deal. There is nothing more embarassing in being knocked out by a perfect punch from Rahman than barely getting by 186 pound Henry Cooper.

Lewis was an amazing HW, in H2H terms perhaps the best ever.

I think most right-minded people would acknowledge he's one of the best Heavyweights ever, probably in the top 5, definitely in the top 10.

Hes great but not top 5 like many here claim..... I have him 9th sometimes 10th ( I switch Marciano,Lewis,Fraizer like musical chairs)

HTH on his best day he is top 5 but, ive always though hes vulnerable and can also see him losing to a couple top 15 or even 20 guys. He was kod 2 times by decent but hardly spectacular fighters... Dont care if he avenged them, it is what it is and he was KTFO 2 x in his prime!

Lewis would've dominated Norton - Lewis UD

Lewis vs Frazier - Lewis UD

Holmes would've gave Lewis fits - Holmes UD (easy)

Foreman would have given Lewis no choice but to slug like **** - Foreman KO9!

A toss up for Ali and Louis.

Lewis is a top 10 ATG Heavy without a doubt, there's no arguement.

Lewis kos Joe hth but no way is he the greater hw, for his time Joe was way ahead of Lennox.

Lewis beats Fraizer more times than not just too much size, but i can see making Smoking Joe a live underdog.. As far as resumes they are close, i swithch up on them.

    Lewis Kos Norton

    Foreman kos Lewis early

Ali beats Lewis by decision especially the 60s version... 70s version has a tough time probably wins a real tight decision.

Holmes beats Lewis by close decision....

At first i though you were just naming 70s heavys but i see you got Joe Louis in there

    Some more

    Prime Tyson kos Lewis
    Prime Holy wins close decision
    Prime Bowe Pickem

Liston has a live shot if they fight 3 time... Liston kos him at least once.

Despite some obvious questionable stuff in his career, his greatness can't be really questioned.
