Anthony Mundine vs. Garth Wood II RBR

Round 5

Hard, resonating body shot by Wood. Mundine stands in a defensive/countering boxing posture and isn't looking to jab forward as in previous rounds. Wood is excitedly lunging his way toward Mundine and getting grabbed before he can land effectively most often. The referee continues his comical jaws of life impression. Wood is the only one punching, a bit sloppy but glancing some overhand rights off the side of Mundine's head and landing a bit below the ribs. The referee warns Wood very sternly for holding although it's Mundine pinning his arm. BIG RIGHT HANDS by Wood. Mundine buzzed, holds on tight. Wood is pushing at Mundine's head with his left and backing away, trying to disallow the holding himself so the ref won't blame him and start yelling anymore.

Round 6

Mundine begins with a pawing jab, exposing the loose tape on his left glove. Wood gets himself centered up on Mundine and starts banging him across the ring with low slings to the sides. Mundine is getting bent in the middle and backed up unsteadily. Headbutt!! Blood!! Low blow by Wood, unintentional as he just keeps running the buzzsaw across Mundine's torso. Mundine pushes Wood away, keeping him at the end of his reach. Bad idea, as Wood lines up a BIG RIGHT HAND on the chin of Mundine. Wood just working him over on the inside, dominating. Body punches, powering out of clinches with violent shakes, shoeshining, BIG right hands to the face.

There was a brief shoving match after the bell, with Mundine trying to get off the ropes. The referee managed to crack his whip and tame them into their corners. Mundine sits and looks exhausted, head down.

Round 7

Mundine starts out well with his jab, keeping it at a distance. Wood creeps in with his underhand shots and is warned for low blows. Wood just keeps working and plugging away to the body of Mundine, taking advantage of openings to the head when they come his way. Mundine is getting bruised up in the middle. Good left hooks to the body by Wood. Mundine has his left hand low now, stalking from the outside and looking to land a long jab on Wood. Mundine finds him suddenly elusive.
