I am calling for a ban on that CLOWN of a ref! tonight was the worst performance of a Ref I have ever seen in the sport of Boxing. No matter which fighter you supportered that Ref was a total joker and must be either Suspended or Demoted to ref lower class of fights.

    A TOTAL JOKE!

ordinary refereeing, but worst ever is a big call and I don't think this guy even came close.

ANyone who calls a knockdown starts counting then stops for 15 seconds to Not break up the fight but waits for them to stop then starts counting is a total joke....Worst I have ever seen and I have seen A LOT of bad refs.

Mate, I seen Brizzi's boy getting smashed on the ropes, not firing back at all, in the amateurs the other week, the ref stepped in..................................and put a count on the bloke smashing him.

For the first 'slap, stumble and trip' to be deemed a KD speaks volumes.

    What else would you expect???

It was the worst I have seen in a long while......fancy calling a stumble a knockdown.....he wasn't even going to call it until The Pioneer back away waving off fighting..to be technical about it, to be judged a knockdown for a legitimate count do not both hands / gloves have to touch the mat? Wood stumbled touched one hand down rode through with momentum and raised himself to his feet. It never looked like a knockdown......I called it immediately seeing him trip / lose balance after collecting The Pioneers left leg.

He just seemed terribly inexperienced and poorly trained, a novice to boxing.

haha, first time i've ever seen a standing 8 count while the fighters were still fighting. Worse he started and stopped it about three times, and almost tripped himself up not knowing whether to stop them or let them fight on. I joked in another thread they must have signed him up from a pub outside the stadium. He must have atleast had a few before the bout.

Only one glove has to hit the floor. It was a kd. Katsidis was robbed of one last weekend.

Looked like a knock down from where I was standing.

I didn't, to be honest. Didn't have the benefit of a replay though. Wood's team didn't seem upset about the call. Everyone I was watching with thought it was a clear knockdown.

I thought it was a KD, but replays showed other wise. A punch did assist in putting Wood off balance though and it was on the chin. The ref wasn't looking at their feet, fair enough.
